The farmhouse immediately gives a feeling of inclusiveness. One gets the privacy of a holiday get away but can also enjoy the added background noises of a working farm. The back verandah faces the indigenous forest where I say for hours with a book and binoculars, while the front faces the mountains which get that magical late afternoon/evening sunlight. It was so quiet , we could actually hear the cows munching grass in the nearby field!
We were free to walk in the forest and a highlight of our stay was spotting the beautiful and rarely seen Narina Trogon.
The house is unpretentious but homely and comfortable. The spacious lounge has a great fire place and a host of board games which were put to good use. The kitchen is fully equipped but we found it was almost too easy to wander down to the farm stall for something to eat or drink.
The beach at Nature's Valley is a short drive down the pass and is an unbelievable piece of uncommercialised beauty.
Our delightful hosts were nearby if needed and were always available for a chat, a joke or even a glass of milk or wine. What a pleasure!!
No review could do Nature's Way Farmhouse any justice. Firstly, the home is nothing short of all those childhood memories that make our hearts so unbelievably happy and content. Secondly, the area is absolutely breathtaking and if you're as active as me; the runs, cycles or lagoon swims are magical. Thirdly, Nature's Way Farm stall has kept me well fed and smiley. Last but certainly not least, Anne is the most attentive, kind and spectacular host. If you didn't know this already, I would absolutely recommend this place.
