Stayed here during my last visit to Taiwan for two nights because all other hotels in Hsinchu were fully booked. It was a pretty good deal in terms of price. The lobby was nice and clean and the front desk staff was super nice. They let me keep my luggage there all day before check-in and after check-out. But the luggage was just sitting in the lobby, I guess it's not a big deal because there isn't much crime in Hsinchu?

I had a room on the 7th floor and as soon as I got off the elevator there was a strong stench of smoke smell everywhere even in the room. The room had an old 32in tube TV, decent bed and a decent old but clean bathroom.

This is definitely not my first choice of a hotel in Hsinchu, but it served me fine for the two days that I needed it.

Good facility, kind staff, clean and comfortable room with reasonable price. a bit far away from train station, and there is so few taxi in this small city, especially in a rainy day(it seems it rains everyday...).

I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. It was a nice hotel with very helpful and polite stuff. Since I don't know any Chinese, they always called me a taxi and always told them about my destination. They offered nice breakfast with lots of options - bread-butter-jam, egg omlet, beef, porc, 3/4 types of juice, tea, coffee etc. The room service was excellent. The wi-fi was open access, no authentication. The signal strength was good enough to stream YouTube videos. The local area had many restaurants with nice local cuisine. Also there is a McDonalds and DBS bank ATM nearby. That made the life easier.

Normally I stay in Taipei but this was time stayed in the Golden Age Hotel. First impression, got free upgrade to Executive Suite, which was nice. The executive suite was spacious, living room area, exercise bike fairly basic level of luxury but thought was there. Free internet is always a plus as business trips mean have to work all hours. Best nights sleep i have for ages, so peaceful.

The rooms are very clean, bathrooms spotless..nice.

The area around the hotel is busy and you can find many places to eat walking distance. Many Japanese restaurants near it is clear many Japanese business in this area. The hotel staff can speak Japanese and English is fair llevel, very friendly and staff.

If any negative only thing is the the buffet breakfast it is has a very limited selection, quantity on offer too is limited. ~It does cater for local and Japanese taste.
