The room is clean and spacious. Ample parking space available. Only provide shampoo and body wash. So bring your own conditioner if you need one.
Nothing much around hotel. 10 mins drove to Dongdamen night market.

Review of Lakeshore Hotel Hualien

We stayed 2 nights. We didn’t get a good sleep the first night because we were awaken by loud and incessant banging at our door. We thought it was an emergency evacuation. When we jumped out of bed (we were already fast asleep) and opened the door, there were a few older kids that came crashing through then they realized they were banging at the wrong door. They were locals traveling as a big group. We were very angry and scolded them but their parents didn’t come out to apologize even though their doors finally opened. Parents should remind their children to be considerate when traveling as a big group. We could hear their voices from our room during the day but was aghast when they disturbed our sleep that night.
Improvement: Bath towels were thin and frayed. It’s time they changed the towels.

Overall we enjoyed staying at the hotel. The room was spacious, nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful; though most had a rather poor English, with the exception of Nicole Liu. Not only that she speaks very good English, she was extremely nice and helpful.
The small gym for such a big hotel was a big disappointment. The major problem is the slow elevators. Waiting for an elevator was much too long.
Finally, we were very surprised to find out on Saturday morning that we had to wait for half an hour (!) to be seated for breakfast. We would expect a hotel of this standard and size to be prepared for busy days.

This nice hotel is located a little farther away from the city centre but the room is very clean and spacious with a parquet flooring. A flat screen TV, a writing table, a sofa set, a hair dryer, an electric kettle with complimentary tea and coffee plus bottled drinking water. The bed is firm and comfortable. The bathroom and the toilet are separated and located at opposite ends of the room. Full range of toiletries are provided. The bathtub is of contemporary design, the shower compartment is glass-cubicled with a powerful jet of hot and cold water. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a sauna room, a children playroom and a small gym on the 8th floor. Buffet breakfast is served from 6.30 am to 10.00 am. The breakfast spread is generous. Fast and free WiFi is available in the room. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We will be back when we visit Hualien again. And lastly, if you are staying in this hotel, try the delicious noodles at a small shop directly opposite this hotel.

I stayed in 4 different hotels in my 8 days trip in Taiwan and it was the best hotel I have stayed! The room were pretty spacious, clean with comfortable beds. Check-in were very fast and smooth. I will return to this hotel if I visit Hualien again.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently.
Hotel location is far off from city centre. It's about 15mins drive from the Railway station. Taxi fare will cost about NTW $140 from station to hotel.
Hotel is great, it's new, staffs are helpful and the room is fab.
Stayed in the Premier mountain view king room. Room is huge with a private tub in the toilet facing the mountain view.
Bed is comfortable. 2 bottles drinking water are provided for, a proper hairdryer with about 1000W power is provided for. Toiletries, room slippers provided for.
The only down side is there is no safe to keep your valuables.
Hotel breakfast is great, food is yummy with a wide selection. Provides fresh coffee and tea bags. We didnt opt for room with breakfast so had to purchase additional for it. Hotel breakfast is about NTW$320 per pax. The only hotel who have a decent hotel trip in my trip this time.
As hotel's location is abit far off, you will need to get hotel concierge's help to get a taxi. Pretty hard to flag one from the streets.
Enjoyed my stay thoroughly and will be back.
