a) We asked for a quiet room, and got a mostly quiet room on the 8th floor. Some street noise, but nothing that disturbed our sleep. b) The breakfast had a lot of options -- although not all food was of the same quality. Some of the food was cold when it should have been hot. Mostly aimed at Asian guests, but with some western options. I wouldn't say the breakfast was great, but instead "very good". c) Some of the staff were helpful and courteous. I want to give a shout out to "Johnny" who worked reception a couple nights we were here. He can be distinguished from some of the other reception staff by the following: he greeted us when he saw us, and didn't just stare down at the paperwork in front of him. He acknowledged us again the next night, smiling and nodding. This seems like a small gesture, but few workers at this hotel even went this far. d) Somewhat good location. e) The price! It was very reasonable f) When we asked for extra pillows from reception, they were delivered efficiently and with good humor. g) The music in the hallway was subtle and a nice touch. h) Wifi was quick and easy to use!
What we would like to change with a wave of our hand if possible:
a) There was a huge step down from the bathroom to the main part of our room, which made nighttime visits to the toilet particularly very hazard-likely. We proceeded carefully, but when sleepy and in the dark, such gaps can be dangerous.
b) The ac controls and the shower controls were in Chinese only. Much of the clientele who come to this hotel are buses of Taiwanese who are here for a day or two. They sometimes overwhelm the staff and lobby, making it hard to feel welcomed.
c) Could food be marked as vegetarian at breakfast? We noticed they were labeled for "our Muslim travelers", but why not also mark if the dishes contain meat.
d) Some reception staff had no English skills at all, which made for some awkward non-conversations.
Would I book here again? Yes!

The hotel is located at a quite strategic location which there's a quite a number of eateries around the area. There are also a lot of convenience store around and it makes life a lot more easier if you decided to get some snacks or beverages. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room is big and clean and there's even a dining table in the room. Nice!

Location was ok。a taxi to train station and the night market costs sgd5. The breakfast was underwhelming to be honest but for the price we paid, I guess we can't complain. Rooms were old but clean. Perhaps will try another hotel next time.

The hotel has private parking lot for guests which is really convenient. The service is pretty good. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable and big enough for two people. While the television is too small and seems like the traditional TV.
