New Kuta Hotel
We stayed here for 4 nights. It’s not what we thought it was going to be. It’s not beach front unless you call a 10min walk this. But the gardens on the grounds are immaculate. You need a taxi or scooter to get to beach or shops including the minimart for a drink or snack. Wifi is ok slow but workable, better if you use it at the pool or over breakfast. No computer to use during our stay due to it being broken. Pool was nice. No bar or food service until 2pm though. If you are after a western breakfast this isn’t the place. Bread and eggs are as close as it gets. Asian breakfast was delicious in saying that. No milk for tea or coffee unless you specifically ask for it and it may incur a fee. Meals at restaurant were nice and reasonably cheap. Room was clean with good air conditioning. No safe in room like most hotels offer though. Not many tv channels which they are in the process of fixing. Bed felt hard the first night but worked out to be the best for our backs. Lift was out of action during our stay. No information about the area in room, even asked for a map and they said they didn’t have one. They have a spa but not much advertisement for it. Lots of buses who had people come in for the night then out for the day. So it is busy around the hotel in morning before they leave and when they return. Most of the staff were friendly and approachable. For us it was pretty good start for our holiday. It gave us time to disconnect from our normal busy lifestyles. To sum it up. It’s a place that has potential to be amazing with some building upgrades like paint, advertising about area or even the spa and have the bar open at the pool from 10 and get the staff to interact a little more, but that could be to do with majority of the clientele prefer minimal interaction. With these changes this place could be amazing. Unfortunately at the current time it’s just a place to rest your head at night while during the day you visit the area.

We have been there for 10 days with my girlfriend and her parents, the area around is pretty doggy, not talking about the environment (anyway very dirty)but the people which living there, the hotel is quite nice and the staff is helpful and smiling, the big problem are the crazy amount of visitors coming with bus from china which they are really loud ,from the morning(5am)to the night when they came back after the tours. Also every day breakfast is been a nightmare fighting still with this huge groups which they make a every day breakfast a world war.We did enjoy overall the stay shame for this huge groups without any control and rules by the hotel

Please believe the bad reviews. It is NOT close to the beach- their pictures are deceiving. This hotel is VERY LOUD! The food is not good & the room we are in is very ran down. We tried contacting the front desk and the phone just rang and rang. Luckily, we’re only staying two nights.

Friendly staffs, nice ambience, balinese deco, indonesian ala-carte menu, swimming pool with sea-view. Loved my room which have 2 verandahs, a living room to watch tv with couch and coffee table, a small kitchen with stove if i want to cook which i didn't. Bedroom is just awesome with 1 of the verandah with landscape garden view, view of the swimming pool and of cource the famous beach. Overall, it's a good stay and the peoples at the hotel made it an awesome one for me . Stayed here for a peaceful quiet 3D/2N.

Room tip: Ask from the counter to arrange for motorbike or car rental.

My mum and I stayed here for 4 nights in August 2017as our first destination on a two week trip to Bali. The stafff were exceptionally polite and accommodating throughout our stay with the hotel being a perfect location for those seeking a quieter and more secluded stay outside of the hustle and bustle o Nusa Dua and Kuta.

The hotel itself has great amenities including a free shuttle to Kuta, a large outdoor pool and bar area, great restaurant and a spa/gym. However it must be noted that the hotel never seems to be extremely full and attracts a lot of one night tourist groups. At time the hotel seems post apocalyptically quiet which was great for us who were seeking a quieter holiday!

We had issues with booking a sea view room and then being placed in a parking lot room. We were upgraded after the first night to the deluxe sea view room which had a great view...but had very basic finishing (broken door duct tapped etc).In addition, the driver did forget us in Kuta one day for an extra 1.5 hours....this wasn't a huge issue as they paid for our trip to Uluwatu temple as a consolation...however these management issues can be easily avoided!

A summary of the pros and cons below

Pros
-Great location in a superb resort with 5 mins walk from Dreamland beach and 15 min drive to Uluwatu Temples
-Exceptionally accommodating staff and large list of amenities
-Free shuttle to Kuta (to escape the quiet) and drivers on hand at any time
-Reasonably priced food
-Great views of the coast

Cons
-Some rooms are tired and old (not a huge problem for the price paid though) but disappointing (superior view room)
-Seclusion was a positive for us, however some may not like the fact that there aren't many shops near by

For the price, it is a great get away destination....but best suited for those seeking a quiet stay in a quiet resort area.
