“Fabulous little gem”

Lovely cottage extremely well equipped with everything you need. Decor and furnishings very comfortable and finished to a high standard.
Perfect location for all that Dumfries and Galloway has to offer.

“Very comfortable cottage with excellent facilities”
Reviewed 6 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The cottage was spotlessly clean and the large garden well tended. Wet room was excellent as was the cake (surprise) waiting for us on arrival. The owner is someone who has made great efforts to provide a peaceful and carefree holiday setting. Cannot speak highly enough.

Dumfries and Galloway has many places of interest. We found the climate refreshing and mild( we live in the Yorkshire Dales). The local people are friendly and helpful.

“A good location for a small group”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Cottage was very good for a small party, well equipped and in a good location. The village was very pleasant. A car is necessary if you want to see more than the local sights but there are local walks. The food from the neighboring pub was fine if you just want a pub lunch.

“Luxurious cottage in lovely location.”

Enjoyed a very relaxing weekend in a very pretty cottage. Very high standard of accommodation in a beautiful part of Scotland. Would definitely stay here again. The cake that was left for us on arrival was delicious.

“A Picture Perfect Cottage”
Reviewed 11 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Just back from a 4 night stay in this beautiful cottage with my parents. We were staying in the area to visit my brother and his family who were caravanning nearby at Southerness. We could not find fault with anything about the cottage, it was immaculately clean, warm, cosy and extremely comfortable from the soft snuggly beds and lounge seating to the hot and powerful shower. We all enjoyed the delicious homemade strawberry sponge cake and thought the milk and eggs left in the fridge too was a nice touch. The compact kitchen was well equipped and every room had been thoughtfully decorated to a high standard. The cottage was so pretty from all the colourful hanging baskets out the front through to the peaceful hidden garden we found down the side of the cottage which we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in to catch a few rays of sunshine in between the clouds. We were just sad we didn't get the barbecue weather one would expect in July so had to spend the evenings indoors but the cottage was just as pleasant to sit and chill out in. The locals were friendly and the shop opposite very handy too. We loved the tearoom by the Abbey, food was tasty and plentiful and the staff attentive. (The fruit smoothies were especially yummy) We can't recommend the cottage enough, it was such a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, a home from home. My Dad grew up in the Dumfries area and he and my Mum both said they would love to come back soon and stay longer next time as there is so much to see and do locally but I also think they just want an excuse to come back and enjoy this adorable wee cottage again.
