After two weeks of traveling in Thailand, we were looking for a different dining experience. Walking around the Laguna area, we were stopped by the hostess. She invited us to look at the menu, and then uttered the magic words "included transportation back to your hotel." We decided to give it a try.
It was early, so we were the only ones in the restaurant, giving our dinner a very romantic feel. The menu was tantalizing and choosing from the options was challenging. The wine list was also diverse and priced well, with options from around the world.
One of my favorite dishes when done well is gambas de ajillo, shrimp served in hot oil, garlic and pepper. Their version was perfect with fresh shrimp, the right amount of garlic and pepper, and served sizzling hot.
Everything we ordered was so good that I forgot to take pictures of the food! We ate everything and then topped it off with amazing desserts. While we waited for the car back to the hotel, we were offered a complimentary cordial to finish our meal.
This was a delightful, spur of the moment find, and we would definitely go back to try difference dishes. Thank you for a truly wonderful evening!

Environment -
we sat indoor (with air-con), clean, tidy. There were not many people on that night, but i can imagine the place being a little noisy if fully filled-up.

Service -
good. attentive, not hard-selling

Food that we've tried-
Fine de claire oyster - fresh, small (#3)
Ceviche - taste good, refreshing, should try if you tolerate raw food
Gambas Aioli & chilli - fresh prawn, good
Pan fried Foie Gra - tiny piece, tasted normal (not bad) , not worth for money
Escargot - tasted normal
Pan fried Scallop(so called from Hokkaido) - the scallop tasted blanched and bland, the sauce was ok though
Pasta with wild mushroom & truffle - tasty. should try
Crepe - tasted ok, good for taking pictures

Price -
all the above food + 500ml of chablis + 1 small bottle of Evian ~ 5000Baht

The food is sophisticated and well executed and the service is very attentive. However the ambience lets it down slightly, hence the 4 stars.
We had the lobster bisque which was very good, the ravioli in the bisque was particularly yummy. Then we had the duck and the sea bass, both delicious. A glass of primitivo was good and fairly priced. The meal was rounded off perfectly with Crepe Suzette.
Only downside is that the environs isn’t a fair reflection of the very high quality cuisine being crafted here. This chef deserves to shine in a restaurant with a better layout.

We had dinner in this restaurant. The food was extremely good, I loved the fish tartare starter and the sea bass I ordered. Desserts are a must try especially the chocolate mousse. Service is very professional. Chef Pablo the owner is a very nice man. The wine list is well composed with New and Old World wines at all prices. It is a must fo place for a good dinner.

I’ve eaten here on several occasions The service has always been good and the food usually excellent. However on this occasion was not up to the standard expected especially when you’re paying top dollar.
The Wine in particular was grossly overpriced and on top of that you have to add 7% tax and 10% service.
There are plenty of other French restaurants in the vicinity offering far better value for money.
