“nice clean fort”
Review of Bekal Fort

Bekal Fort
Reviewed 3 May 2018

The fort is by the sea side. built with red stones. It covers a vast area. need lot of walking and climbing around.
there are no shades. beware to wear caps and take plenty of water when exploring the fort.
The fort is surprisingly clean.
many couples were seen sitting/standing in all the remote corners of the fort.
The place is very good for photography. go with light colored dress, the background gives good contrast and the pictures will be excellent.

Considered the largest as well as the best-preserved fort in Kerala, the Bekal Fort as a majestic structure lies 130 ft above the sea level. The Fort allows great views of the surrounding beaches and imposing coconut trees. We trekked right till the end to enjoy cliff views of the waves. We visited in the morning and cycled to and fro from the Fort,

The location of the for is very good, you get a nice view of the ocean.. There is a high view point from where you get a 360 degree view.. It gets really hot, try to visit in the evening after 4.. There is no place for shade.
