Had a prawn curry and a fried pork and rice dish that were both very good as well as a light and very tasty squid salad.
Watermelon juice was delicious
We can't eat Thai hot, but like a little spiciness, so we asked for the curry to be a little spicy and, that’s what we got. This hasn't always worked in Thailand, though there is always the issue of the unpredictable heat of an individual chilli pepper.

Visiting here is a must! Stayed at the hotel opposite with the intention of trying a few places to eat. We liked this place so much we ate here every night.

Fantastic food. During our 9 days stay in kata beach, we ate here 4 times.. Curries and whole grilled fish in ginger and pepper are excellent family owned and great service! Our favorite in Kata Beach!!

My favourite restaurant in the area. Genuinely local, very Thai and supposedly run by a family. I've visited this place at various times of the day, the food has always been up to expectations and the service was truly attentive and kind.

Unlike many nearby places their mango was accompanied by blue sticky rice and sprinkled with sweet mung beans, which was exactly what I searched for. Highly recommended.

Found this place walking around outside of the tourist area of Kata beach. The food was fantastic and flavourful. We had 2 Chicken Pad Thai’s, morning glory veggies in an oyster sauce, a plate of mangos and 2 waters for 320 baht (12.55 Cdn). Perfect place to grab some food after a long day. Super casual and friendly. I love finding local places to eat. The food was way better than the “local” restaurant the hotel recommended on the beach...Mama’s restaurant right on the beach at the end which cost us 1,000 baht for Grilled Squid and a Fish dish which attracted so many flies It turned us off. An obvious tourist trap. The owner of Chai Restaurant also owned a massage store and for 300 baht (11.77 Cdn) I got the best Thai massage. Obviously not an upscale place for the price. It’s pretty basic inside but after a rough speedboat tour where my neck and back got a little banged up, the woman stretched out and kneaded my muscles pretty good.
