The best thing about this resort is it’s location and the view from the rooms. Imagine waking up to the spellbinding view of Nandevi and other snow capped mountains. It’s truly heaven.
But the resort itself is in a very bad shape. All the awards they have won is way back in 2001. No maintenance at all. Most places the spiders have made their home and some spaces look like haunted! Unfortunately the only other resort is a Gharwal govt owned and no idea how good or bad that is. Hence most stay in Clifftop. Also guess when it’s covered in snow during winter at least the outer maintenance issues gets covered up.
They were low on staff so the service was taking a long time specially breakfast. Also no info is given up front only on probing the actual issues comes out. They mentioned that this property is under some legal bind hence they cannot expand. And the owners don’t seem to be putting any thought into maintaining the existing property.
This resort is a 5min walk down from the cable car terminal. But at that altitude this 5min walk up is an enduring one! Again no proper info about the timings of the cable car. Mostly it runs whenever there are enough passengers though the schedule is every half hour. First and last ride timings are not really fixed as mentioned on the boards there.More
