One of the most awful places I have ever had the misfortune to visit. It is a shame as the beach could be fantastic. The place is dirty and the people plainly do not like foreign visitors.
Under no circumstances ever go in a British registered car. From the minute we arrived and drove down the main promenade road we were being stared at which isn't so uncommon in a foreign car as we have driven all over Europe but the looks of distain from people was worrying.
We parked up and searched the Internet for somewhere else to stay as we had a apartment booked right on the beach built up to be a superb luxury apartment!! Visited a shop to buy some bread and milk. My daughters were with me and the looks being given by the locals made my mind up that we needed to go. I bought 2 bottles of coke, 2 bottles of milk, 2 small packs of meat and some bread. The shop keeper smiled and typed in 20.00 euros on his calculator. Obviously this was way too much but they were looking for a row so I paid and got out of there quickly. At this point I decided we needed to leave. We had only been here an hour. We went to the car and the rear window had been smashed in! Now this could happen in as areas of the U.K. but then we had locals driving past beeping the horns and laughing out their windows. People smiling as they walked past and to cap it off when we gave the keys back and told them what happened they walked away laughing also. In the end I pulled the police over who were passing by to protect us while we loaded the car.
In the end we have had our money back through the website and nothing was stolen as nothing was in the car and we are all safe but it ruined the holiday.
A dangerous place for anyone but especially if you aren't Italian.
Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!
