This trip is well worth seeing. The underground cave experience and the glow worms are amazing, the staff are very knowledgeable too 👌

A wonderful way to experience Doubtful Sound. 45 Minutes to get across the lake, then a fun bus ride over the mountain to the boat. What made it special, on the day we did the tour, was that it had rained the night before and into the morning. That mean hundreds of waterfalls along the sound (actually a fjord). The boat cruises slowly and you get plenty of time to take in the views. Best of all, on the return trip, the captain goes up a side channel and stops in front of a wonderful waterfall. With engines off and people requested to be silent, and only 20-30 feet from shore, the quietness was surreal! A wonderful experience. We did not do a boat trip into Milford Sound (fjord) so we cannot compare. But we can highly recommend Doubtful Sound!

The combination of the boat ride across the lake, the scenic bus ride over the mountain, and the stunning views of the fjord filled with hundreds of waterfalls must have been truly breathtaking, especially after the rain. We're delighted to hear that you had such a fantastic experience and greatly appreciate your recommendation of the Doubtful Sound cruise to others.

Well organised experience. Was unsure what to expect but most things were explained when got to the cave. However did expect to see a more entrancing cave full of glowworms … kept thinking, this tunnel is going to lead to a grander grotto… but it didn’t. Nevertheless guides informative.

We had really a lucky day! Good weather with good views. Only less dolphins and no seals...but doesn't matter because of the good view!
