The boat trip from Manapouri also had beautiful scenery. The bus ride to Doubtful Sound was bumpy but you can't beat the pictures of the sound when you come through the pass. The scenery is different than Milford Sound but just as beautiful. The tour of the sound hit all the key spots and is well worth it.

We did a tour of both doubtful sound and the Te Anau glow worm caves with real journeys. While their prices are a bit higher, the service and quality of the trips were well worth it. No regrets and highly recommend.

Real Journey picked us up at the hotel right on time and bussed us to Lake Manopouri to board the first Catamaran. We crossed the beautiful lake (45min) to catch another bus to Doubtful Sound. The bus ride great with a few picture stops along the way. We boarded a second Catamaran for the tour of Doubtful Sound. It was spectacular! What an amazing place God created for us to enjoy! At one point we pulled into a protected finger and the engines were turned off. We could hear the songs of the birds and the waterfalls. It was so peaceful. We highly recommend this tour!

we did the overnight cruise on the Navigator, there were 3 of us and i just bought another bed in the 4 berth so we didnt have to share. The trip was amazing we learnt so much about the wildlife, the crew is attentive and it is well worth the $$. Dont worry if its raining because it is still magical

My family and I went on a one night cruise On the fjordland navigator. In the afternoon of the first day we got to do some water activities such as tender boating ( tinny boating) and kayaking. After that, we went swimming in the fjord and the water was warmer than we thought! The meals are the best and the staff are really kind and will literally do anything to make you feel comfortable! They have buffets for the meals so you do not have to wait for your food to arrive. Our visit in NZ got brightened by the lovely experience and I totally recommend it for families as it is EXTREMELY family friendly‍‍‍
The little ones liked the natural dolphin show and we enjoyed that they were showing off the tricks they could do such as leaping and they weren’t held in captivity.
We also saw a mother seal feeding her pup which was so cute!
This is probably a once in a lifetime experience for families:)
Nobody got sick on the boat.
The staff also make and clean up the rooms at the end of your stay and the cleaning was fast and extremely impressive because there are few staff and they all share rolls.
The best thing: FREE HOT DRINKS. I was having hot chocs all day ☕️
Put it on your NZ bucket list because it’s a must
The photos are of the views and the bedrooms
