Came there with my wife and 4 month old baby and stayed for 10 days. We where the first guest that summer and we where treated like royals! This place is out of this world beautiful. Surroundings are very nice and easy to drive around using gps or google maps to nearby towns. If you have any specal requests or anything you need just ask and they do everything for you there. ID deffinetly visit again if I where to travel to italian riveria again :)

“Our perfect intoduction to Ligura & Italia!”

Having never been to rural Italy before, we selected firstly Liguria, and then Belbea, as it was close to our usual holiday destination, in France, so we could boarder hop and it ticked all our boxes!

After surfing a few other sites we chose through Trip Advisor as security, safety and reliability were important to us (after seeing a few horror stories elsewhere) with the location and quality of accommodation on offer equally important - and we were not disappointed with anything we found!

From the moment of our arrival, after following the simple instructions to find this secluded gem, nestling in the hills near Balestrino over looking Toirano and Loano, we were made to feel right at home by the location manager Ravi & his good lady wife.

Firstly, a more genial , helpful and gracious host you'll not find anywhere, there was nothing Ravi would not do for us, a true gentleman. Secondly, if you crave peace, tranquillity, stunning views this place is for you! There's plenty of everything else off site, if you'd like it, but its far enough away not to be a nuisance or distraction. We read and soaked in the rays both on our balcony and the pool terrace, indulging in the quality local produce purchased just down the valley.

Our group was a mid 40's married couple (I'm being kind to my good lady here!) and our 3 late teens boys / early 20's lady children & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was spotless and highly maintained, the pool the major plus along with the nightly visits from boar and deer and everything we needed was either there or just a few KM's away.

What we couldn't find Ravi could source for us.

The local people were welcoming and friendly in local stores and restaurants even although our Italian was very limited and locals understanding with their English, mostly, equally challenged, but this was no barrier to their kindness and good cheer.

The mountain road (SP 33 /34) could be challenging to nervous or inexperienced drivers, but is of good quality, barriered and (mostly) lit, you can google earth it to get an idea..

We drove down 3.5 hours from Milan,(Ryanair in) if we went to this area again Genoa, (great City worth a visit) or Nice would be a better bet across the A10, which is a tunnel lovers delight! The coastline is busy in summer with Italians and all nationalities and the resorts will provide whatever level of excitement you crave, check out Toirano off the main road for a lot more than the modern building you see driving through and a Michelin star restraint to compliment a brilliant pizzeria in Balestrino where the owner speaks 5 languages, including fluent English.

The best big supermarket we found was in the Famila in Ceriale and beach Albenga with some great eateries.

Finally, if you're looking a for loud, brash, pumping venue with an on site bar and restaurant with teeming 'talent and banging tunes' this place won't be for you. If you're looking for something a bit quieter in a genuinely rural retreat, with all the simple facilities tastefully presented, civil company in a stunning scenic location, this is the place for you - enjoy!
