The place exceeded our expectations. Very pleasant greeting and check in. We were shown to our room ( service plus point). The room was premier inn standard. Quiet location. We ate elsewhere, but that was only because we had arranged to meet friends elsewhere. We would have happily dined there, plenty of choice on the menu. Breakfast had too much choice, went well beyond full english. Eggs benedict and more. Checkout was easy polite and chatty.

Room tip: Top floor in te extension

Not been for over a year as didn’t like the new menus but wow lots of the old menu have returned. On looking on latest review my sister saw they had a new menu out, so we went for lunch. We had a lovely meal, food was great and very quickly served the staff very helpful and all seemed back to normal. Maybe they need to advertise the change as not many customers which was a shame.

We had not been to the Birley Arms for years and will definitely be going again! The setting was lovely and relaxed - no annoying canned music! The girls who served us were delightful and the food came at a reasonable time given everything is cooked to order. We had the Sea bream and Roast beef from the Sunday lunch menu and fruit filled pancakes for dessert. We couldn't fault anything - a rare event.

A lovely pub restaurant within the hotel, with an excellent chef in the countryside just outside Blackpool. The mozzarella wrapped in ham was very tasty, the sea bream and salmon was beautifully presented and plentiful and the apple tart with caramel sauce was scrumptious. My two dining companions thoroughly enjoyed their ham hock terrine, seared tuna and sticky toffee pudding. With a round of drinks the bill came to just over £25.00 each which is very good for the standard of cooking. The staff were friendly and not intrusive. They also did not refer to us as 'you guys' which makes a pleasant change. Highly recommended.

My friend and I called in for a lunchtime snack and a drink. The service was quick, the food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. This was the second time we had visited and it certainly won't be the last.
