Really nice staff. Really good coffee. And a tasty venison pie. A good lunch stop on our bike ride from Kingston to Lumsden

Stopped at The Hide Cafe while road tripping around south island. The staff were amazing. They were super friendly. I had the best hot chocolate there. The portions are huge. So not only was there a delicious breakfast but didn't feel hungry after. Highly recommended!!!!
We stopped over when driving to Queenstown. The coffee is okay as well as the muffin. You have to be patient before being served.
Good place for a coffee stop. Free wifi. Veggie breakfast was excellent, good friendly service too. Don't know what else to say, it's a cafe, it that 100 characters yet?
Called in for lunch and on specials notice board at door entrance was listed seafood chowder soup and bread. We ordered and as there was not many other customers we waited 10 minutes and enquired how long our our order would be and was told its coming?
After another 15 minutes wait I enquired again to be told there cook phoned in sick and they were managing as best as they could. With only soup to dish up and if we had been told at time of placing order that they had no cook we would have gone some other place even next door. They offered our money back which we accepted and left. Very unorganised
