Excellent place to stay. It's having renovations carried out to part of the hotel but it didn't cause any problems. Very nice place we would stay again. Usual Premier Inn standard. Good breakfast in adjoining Beefeater.

We stay at Premier Inns quite often and this must be one of my best stays. The bed was really comfortable and the whole place spotlessly clean.
Everyone was very friendly and efficient.
Parking was easy as I have a blue badge and this is important.
All in all a really lovely two days.
No Shiraz and no Roast Chicken Dinners ? What at 2pm .....on a Sunday....There was only one staff serving and he had no idea what he was doing. He kept going to look for someone else to help him.....This place gets worse every year.....I had hoped it had improved....but sadly no....
On arrival in our room, number 23, it smelt of damp and it was very dark. Upon checking the bedside lights we discovered the bulbs and interior of the lamps were thick with dust. The bath sealant and grouting was black in places, the bath grab handle was rusty and there was mould and damp all behind the bathroom door. The carpet was rucked up in several places and the room was very tired. Not what we expect from a Premier Inn. When we requested an alternative room, we were told the hotel was full and there was no other choice. The receptionist advised us that a refit is due to start soon and the hotel has been there for 19 years. In our opinion the room we had certainly looked that old, desperately needs updating and for some serious housekeeping to be done. We did not stay and found alternative accommodation. We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past 2 or 3 years but won't be back.
