Our criteria for a minimum is bed and shower on hols.......
we didn't have hot water for the first two days
First day.... No instructions how to get to the place from owner, zero instructions in the apartment on anything- so our experience on that first day was: I had to find the stuff to make up all the beds, we had to get the people at reception to come and show us how to get gas, TVs didn't work & if they had of done there was no DVD player as advertised (also no hairdryer or trampoline) there is no wifi either- we have an 8&19 year old so in the evening and downtime that meant nothing for them- which was ok but not what was advertised- the twin beds in the mez level were there but you can't stand up and it's a million degrees so the girls slept on the sofa bed in the main space so that means creeping around not opening shutters etc in the mornings.
The pool is in the shade for half the day- the morning - we normally pool in the morning and spend afternoons at the beach so that was a bit disappointing too.
The worst thing that happened was the bedding I eventually found in a top cupboard that I had to reach up to and the door fell out of its slot and cut my hand - and by a miracle missed my foot- it was heavy with metal hinge and would have meant hospital if I hadn't got out of the way.....
However, once all the practical stuff got sorted as much as it could we had a good break and to be fair you get what you pay for, we normally book a private villa last minute and that costs about just under double - I would always pay the extra few hundred in future
