Well, at least the hotel prices are reasonable for somebody who decided in the last minute to have a summer holiday on the almost fully booked Algarve.

Anyway, I won't chose this hotel again. The breakfast is really like mass-tourism, too much children on the pool. No beds on the beachside (which is closed).

And what I didn't like most is that they are really creative in squeezing out money from service-oriented guests. Just for instance: You can "borrow" a towel for 10 Euro per piece, but if you return them and cannot show the "borrowing receipt", you won't get back the money. I believe that most of the guests won't find this receipt, so they're forced to buy a hotel towel for 0 euro per piece.

Just returned here after a short break for 4 days. Upgraded to a sea view room on arrival! Pool area is lovely, breakfast was very good with great view on the balcony when eating. Only a short walk down to the beach and nearest restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Only negative would be the rooms are quite dated but I believe they are next to refurb. Overall I would recommend this place!

We've just returned to the UK from here today - my husband & our kids, 17 & 11.
We can't rate this hotel and the area highly enough.
We arrived on Friday 4th, even though we arrived before check in time (we were prepared to get our swimming stuff, lock the bags away & head to the pool) we were told our room would be 10 minutes - and it was.
We went self catering with a lovely balcony view of the gardens with Azure Winged Magpies (for the bird watchers out there). You could also just see the Atlantic Ocean to the side.
The greenery was just lovely with beautiful plants, shrubs & trees.
The rooms were clean & very very comfortable, the bedroom had a large king size plus bed which was incredibly comfy & the couches were the kids bed which they were really happy with.
The kitchen was spotlessly clean & had a toaster, hob, microwave, kettle & fridge, we didn't miss not having an oven.
The staff were just lovely, friendly & helpful, I rang reception from the phone in the bedroom to ask for more loo rolls - less than 5 minutes later they were delivered. Whilst dancing the daily 'jingle' my daughter cut her toe & the guy from the kids team brought the first aid kit, cleaned it up & popped a bit of rubber glove on her little toe so she could carry on swimming. There were activities for kids which was unobtrusive & the staff lovely.
The pool are & loungers were also clean, the only downside was the curse of the sun lounger towel reservers although there are signs telling people not to do this. I think though this happens everywhere. The poolside snack bar served pizza, fries, sandwiches, hot drinks and beer as well as ice cream, the pizza was lovely & the large beers went down a little too easily.
I know I'm going on a bit but there's so many positive things to say.
We booked to eat at the hotel on a couple of nights and the Buffet food was lovely & fresh & our veggie daughter was very happy. The view is impressive exactly as the website shows - stunning.
There is access to the beach from near the pool, there are approx 100 steps & coming back up there are little benches to rest. The beach is also lovely with the opportunity to have a massage listening to the waves which I did -€10 - 10 mins etc.
There are some lovely local shops, restaurants and gift shops within 10 or so minutes walk. The area is on gradients so may not suit people who can only manage the flat.
They've really made the effort to make this resort a beautiful one.

Hotel: located in lovely grounds on the edge of the cliffs that form the back drop to Falesia beach.

Pools: Has a really nice quiet area surrounding a childrens pool, 30cm deep.
The main pool has lots of access points around it and a jacuzzi at the shallow end. An animation team turn up from time to time to try and liven up precedings. There is a covered area to sit and grab a light snack or some sangria or other beverage, I recommend their white sangria for sure.

Food: unsure, we stayed self catering and ate out every single night, we were honestly so spoilt for choice that we didn't once try the hotels buffet, although we peaked in and it did look nice :).

Access: To get around the local area, there was a road with path alongside linking the three hotels in the group to nearby Olhos de Agua. There is a slight gradient to the road which, as a family with a wheelchair user, we noticed more than other families. Pathways in general could be more considerate to pedestrians. Just walking you would sometimes have to use the road to avoid a car parked on the path, which is quite narrow. But the reception area is spacious and there was a ramp to a lift for our top floor apartment. We normally have to accept a ground floor everywhere so that in itself was a great enhancement to our stay.

Room: very spacious, very clean, selection of free toiletries to use.. Lovely bed, free WiFi, great balcony which was very used indeed.. As was the big flatscreen TV on the wall, by our son.

Overall: Great time here, nothing negative, just need enough time to enjoy all the area has to offer. Pleased we stayed for ten days. A week may have not been enough for us!

Just spent a week here - bed and breakfast and was really impressed with the size of the room/apartment. Double bedroom, kitchen diner/lounge and bathroom.
The staff were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet, with local restaurants just a short walk away for an evening meal. We asked for a pack up one morning as we left for an early trip out and they were happy to oblige.
The walk up and down the 135 steps to get to beach was tiring but with plenty of benches to rest.
It was well worth the walk as the beach was stunning and very family friendly. There are donut and cold drink sellers that came round regularly and they were always friendly but over priced. It cost €7.50 a day each for a sun bed with umberella if you wanted one.
Albufeira is a short taxi journey away and reception organised the transport for us on request.
Be aware that the hotel is situated at the top of an hill.
There was some building work going on at the bottom end but it didn't effect us.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend.
