We stayed at Blas Gwyr for 2 nights and found everything from booking, arrival, breakfast to checkout super easy. Dafyd was really helpful with directions and arranging keys for our late arrival. Room was really comfy and warm with a hot wet room perfect for post surf. Breakfasts were delicious, especially homemade Glamorgan meat free sausage. Easy access to the beach - just down the hill, nice local pub, great restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend for a surf weekend hub.

This may have been superb once but isn't any longer. The owner is pleasant and knowledgeable about the area but fails to transfer his enthusiasm talking about the area and history into the detail in the rooms. The website is out of date and raises your expectations. The room was OK, however, had no shower as was advertised. Bath towels are crisp and white but too small and should be in the bathroom upstairs, not on the bed. There was only one teaspoon between two of us and no glasses or wine glasses which I would expect having read the article in a well known newspaper.
Poor selection of drinks on offer in the room and no menu for breakfast. There were no pastries or summer fruits as indicated on the website. The Full Welsh breakfast was superb however, but for the standard advertised there should be other options, eggs benedict or royale for instance. I could go on...…but basically the attention to detail is missing and there is so much that could be added to enhance a guests experience at a small cost. I don't suppose this review will make any difference as it seems Dafydd has not replied to any previous reviews on here, good or bad. Please Dafydd listen to what your guests are saying as you could have a fab B & B in a great location. A few changes could make all the difference.

Visited Dafydd and the team just for one night this time and yet another fabulous stay! Room was beautiful, bed linen and towels crisp and bright and fantastic Welsh toiletries. Stayed over with a friend as we had a wedding at The Oxwich Bay Hotel. Lovely peaceful sleep in comfortable beds and then awoke to a full Welsh breakfast, freshly cooked with Welsh cut bacon and the option to have the local delicacy of laverbread and cockles which I personally love! Copious amounts of freshly ground, excellent quality coffee later and we were reluctantly ready to hit the road - and very sorry to be leaving the fabulous Blas Gwyr. Thanks to Dafydd and the staff for making our stay wonderful - Dafydd also does evening meals and there is a coffee shop open there during the day. Food is exceptional and we would highly recommend it.

We were greeted very warmly by Dawydd. The rooms all have a separate entrance and are grouped around a beautiful courtyard. Everything is very nicely furnished and extremely clean. Breakfast is varied and Dawydd's stories provide entertainment. We had two quiet nights and can highly recommend Blas Gwyr.

Llangennith is a beautiful place and we were pleased to find such a lovely place to spend the night. The room was well equipped and clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very enjoyable and consisted of quality products. Dafydd was a very amenable host. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again when we return to the area.
