“Santa Lucia Gran Canaria Villa Feb 2017”
Reviewed 20 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We have just returned from a weeks stay in this typical Gran Canadian Villa. Located just outside Santa Lucia. This booking was made and accepted just 11 days before our departure (as our previous booking was cancelled at very short notice). Hosts were very welcoming, met us on arrival. Facilities were excellent. Clean and comfortable beds, plenty of towels etc. Barbecue. Table & plenty of chairs outside. Great views from the balcony.

Number of local small supermarkets, but we used Spar shop in PMorgan for bulk of our shopping.
Two excellent local restaurants in Santa Lucia, (El Mirador & Casa Antonio) opposite each other.

Hire car is essential. Fuel 88p-96p litre! From here we visited Maspalomas, PMorgan, PRico. Heading to the beach around 10am in morning, traffic was light, bicycles heading up into mountains so presented no problems for us heading down to coast. Also visted Tejde and Artenara. Mountain roads, I was driving a 7 seater VW Caddy which had no difficulties coping with the corners and gradients.

I have visited Gran Canaria many times before and never previously considered visiting the interior. The scenery and views are spectacular.

Just around the corner 100 metres from villa you will find visitor centre for Las Fortalezas, with numerous walks and interesting archeology on your doorstep. Adjacent to visitor centre is a very friendly Tapas Bar with great selection of Tapas. Stated closing time is 5:30pm, but stays open as long as they have customers.

Will definitely return.

Absolutely Lovely.
