this property and the village were a delight. Very comfortable cosy cottage set in the owners garden. Well equipped with good heating facility and plenty of hot water? Beautiful garden to explore and sit out and enjoy the sun, which luckily we had plenty of.The village and locals were extremely welcoming and friendly. Great butchers and veg shop, both of which sold very fresh and local produce. Bus stop for access to Cambridge only across the road and very regular service, which we used regularly. Great base to explore all around the area and many places very easy to get to in less than 30 mins. Wonderful stay.

The old chapel proved to be everything we hoped for. Comfortable, well equipped , very convenient and in a friendly village with great fruit and veg shop and stunning butcher. The garden was a delight and the cat great company.
And a glorious piano shop 200 yds away.

“COSY RETREAT AT THE END OF THE DAY!”

Delightful cottage very private and set in a beautiful garden. The village centre a 5 minute walk away has a variety of good food shops and a lovely old church which is well worth visiting. We took the bus to Cambridge each day which took about 30-40 minutes but was more relaxing than driving and they run every 15 minutes. St. Michael's church in the centre of Cambridge makes excellent lunches at reasonable prices and there's a gravestone in the gents loo (i've been told)!
Great holiday!

“really nice and convenient”

Well equipped clean & cosy little house with living room & kitchen at ground floor and 2 bedrooms & a bathroom upstairs. Surrounded by a lovely garden....a peaceful place for a rest after a day of visits & walks. Convenient to reach Cambridge (there is a bus line at a small walking distance to reach the city center and back - Cambridge car parks are expensive) and to visit the surroundings like national trust places when you have a car. Nice welcome with a bouquet of lavender & numerous documentation on what to do. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful historical cottage in Fulbourn”
Reviewed 11 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The cottage was as pretty as the picture with the purple lavender lining the stone path to the entrance. There is a cosy living room with a TV and music system that opens up to a fully fitted kitchen with coffee and tea available. The small round dining table opens up to a large orchard garden where a residential cat guard every morning and evening. I loved the small details inside the cottage told you about the historical Calvinist connection with the building and the calendar describing the farming features of the month. The owner has collected a wide selection of tourist brochures for those lost with not knowing what to do in the area. I found the OS maps very useful, but unfortunately I found some of the public footpath overgrown in the fens this summer- thank god I was wearing long trousers. I recommend going to the local butcher in Fulbourn they have ready seasoned Hunter Chicken and flavoured pork and lamb. There is a co-op for small provisions or you can drive to the larger Tesco further out of the village. There's a bus to and fro Cambridge if you find car parking in Cambridge a nightmare. The cottage is great for a couple or a family with a single child or two children with one in a cot as the second bedroom is a small single bedroom.

Liked best: The large garden.
Liked least: The noise of the decorators/ builders nearby, hopefully this is only temporary.
