We have just returned from the most relaxing 10 days at this hotel.
Rooms - good standard, very clean, got everything you need, amazingly comfortable beds. Very very quiet so slept extremely well. Ask for two adjacent rooms as had older children with us but wanted separate rooms - this was provided. Asked for beds to be split into a twin for the kids, this was done. Good powerful showers.
entertainment/activities - was very limited ( I think because of covid) but we enjoyed three live music nights and an outdoor film night. Also did yoga a few mornings and loved it - thanks to the teacher who was amazing. Treated myself to a spa treatment and really enjoyed - they are UK spa prices I would say.
Food - we had 4 a la carte meals in the all inclusive package - we enjoyed the Italian and the Greek restaurant - very good food. We used the app to book the a la carte which was very easy, if you didn't use the app there were long queues with the person to book - however, you would probably get more options for meals as there was very little availability showing on the app - I think because restaurants were closed due to staffing. We enjoyed the buffet food - breakfast in particular was fantastic, pretty much everything you could ask for. Obviously buffet can get a bit repetitive but standard was fine and we had a nice table outside with every meal - you just have to hover a bit sometimes, for people to leave. But staff would then clear straight away - always get table before food!
Staff - could not have been more helpful and we didn't have any problems with service at all. There were people there being rude to staff over the smallest things- get over yourself, you are rude and entitled - especially considering pandemic- just show the slightest bit of patience and order off menus rather then deciding they should cater for your every whim! Special shout out to main waiter at Italian restaurant and bar staff at Payat and great barman at Olive bar. Only improvement the information person, didn't seem to know anything about anything - reception did though!
Swimming pools - epic! 6 of them and kids loved inflatables and ball games. loads of loungers so no problem there - in less you want a very particular one at a particular pool!
Beach - small but nice, never getting a lounger then though - loved swimming in small cove there, but at times was rather choppy, as wind meant waves crashed in.
Village nearby - the hotel is in the middle of nowwhere so car is useful to get anywhere as taxis expensive, we hired one for a day and went to the water park which was great fun, You could however walk to a village nearby (about 10 mins) and this was great! Small but with little cove and small beach - boys all enjoyed the first day of the Premier league at No Name sports bar whilst I lay on one of their loungers on the beach. We went one night to one of the few lovely tavernas - it was great, loads of greeks there, food (got to go fresh fish) was amazing and owner was so wonderful and friendly - lots of complementary starters and fresh fruit etc. if you aren't all inclusive in hotel or just want a change then would definitely go there.
Vibe - very relaxing, very quiet - only really one main bar in evening doing very nice cocktails but sometimes bit of a wait for drinks - not somewhere for party animals!

We have stayed many time at the radisson Blu. This year they opened a really nice beach bar with a rich menu . We enjoyed various bottles of wine and delicious cocktails. Moreover the pools have been upgraded a lot, the sun beds are really big and our family spent all day there. We will be back

Beautiful holidays, relaxing time by the beach. Our suite was pretty big, with a lot of space for our family. Tasteful dishes, especially the Italian Deli and the Cretan Ariadni Restaurant. Friendly staff, and the beach bar is a hint. We will be back!!

This trip was booked through booking.com
I have been to many 5* resorts and hotel around the world and left wanting to stay more and gave us a really good holiday. Where do I start with this dump, the hellishly iexpensive prices. Stayed from the 30th of July until the 13th of August and booked a two bedroom royal villa with the pool, half board. Came to check in and surprisingly the room was overbooked and we couldn’t get it until 11 am the next day. The excuse was “the pool was broken and wasn’t going to get fixed until 6 pm” they refused to let us in the room even though we told them we don’t mind we’re not sleeping in the pool. So we had two rooms next to each other even though we are a party of 4! This was a horrible start to this so called holiday and was offered compensation which was food at the hotel. The jacuzzi in the first room was piping hot. Put my finger to test the water it was as if putting your hand in boiling water. Are they trying to burn there guests?

Don’t get me started on that dog food breakfast and dinner. To order room service there was only pizza on the menu!! Do not rely on room service as they sometimes aren’t open! Was left hungry one night as room service wasn’t operating.
The pools were filthy and disgusting and was only one “pool cleaner” who did not even clean the pool properly. There seemed to be an issue with putting water in the fridge when it was nearly 40 degrees outside. Majority of the staff are lazy and take 20 minutes to bring a bottle of water. The breakfast was hideous and no variety, can barely manage to make an omelette which was drenched in oil. The dinner was dry, bland, fish was smelly and horrible, barely no where to sit, the air conditioning never really worked. The restaurant Ariadni which was open two times a week was a rip off. Ordered cod and got fish as you get fish and chips. This was a let down and no better to the sickening food at the buffet. Through the duration of the holiday we ate locally and what a difference between local crete and in the resort. They were friendly and welcoming, this resort puts a bad name to Crete and a bad name to the Radisson Blu chain.

On booking.com the royal two bedroom villa comes with a PS4, iron and other little things. This is all false. The fury of being lied to several times on the second day was outrageous. We had to ask for the iron and as for the PS4 they had no idea what we were talking about. The room is nothing like the pictures but overall the room was okay. The pillows were extremely puffy and very uncomfortable. The mattress on the king size bed is by far the worst mattress you can ever sleep on. There seemed to be an issue with the drains when you enter the resort and in the pools, they absolutely stunk. The pool in the room felt like dirty water and really stank. The location of the villa is on the side of the resort and next to the Olivia bar which is really annoying. You have to go up and down to get to the reception.

The Olivia bar had very nice food friendly chef and staff. The souvlakis was extremely tasty and amazing and the hot dogs were nice as well. The deep pool infront of the Olivia bar is not cleaned. You can see straws cups and crumbs in the pool. The pool was absolutely filthy and slippery. There was cigares in the pool which is extremely unhygienic.

The slides are filthy and unsafe. You can see the dirt on the tiles in the pool. There is no lifeguard and that is needed! Kids go down the fast slides four at a time, so close to breaking their backs! There needs to be a health and safety check as little kids could massively injure themselves badly.

This Resort has left us angry and furious. Do not come to Radisson Blu Milatos Crete this is SCAM! Radisson Blu hotels are truly 5*. We had booked this hotel knowing its a Radisson hotel and been to many Radisson Hotels we have never been let down. I hope you do not come come here to get scammed there are many different Hotels. Would of gone to a better recommended place Stella Palace but they did not have any room.

We spent 7 great days at this hotel. The restaurants were really nice with a great variety of food. The staff members were absolutely lovely and qualified. Our room exceeded our expectations as it was absolutely luxurious and the view was magnificent. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. More than a 5 star hotel to me.
