The only positive thing is the environment. The cellar is really nice.

The service felt very uninviting. The staff do not speak english, but that has never been a problem elsewhere in Italy. At least they could have smiled or pretend to care about us. We ordered the norwegian lobster for starters which did not taste fresh and the pumpkin soup was uninspiring. For this cours we wanted to order a white wine or sparkling, that became impossible due to the language barrier. For main course we waited over 1 hour after the starters. I tried to order the veal with less meat and more vegetables - got some potatoes and that was it. The meat was chewey and a little boring. Oh and the bathroom was discusting.

Will not come back as there are so many other good restaurants to choose from. Disappointing..

Good restaurant to eat with family or to have a romantic dinner. The price is a litlle more expensive than other restaurants in Nizza region but the portions are good, the white wine and rose wine are cold and from local production. The starters are great. Notice that they have just one type of beer, corona (quite disapointing)

While the outdoor dining area in a historic building is nice, the food was disappointing. As I tell my non-Italian friends, you can tell if an Italian restaurant is a good one by the quality of their bread. Well, their bread had no texture nor flavor. Appetizers were run-of-the-mill average, portions very small even according to Italian standards. Above all, though, my "brasato" (beef pot roast in wine) was totally unacceptable: a dry, flavorless slice of meat, three-quarters of which was inedible fat and gristle. My friend's "tonno in crosta" (a pompous name for a very dry piece of tunafish with some herbs on top) was also unacceptably dry and lacking flavor.
The manager, while attempting to be friendly, is not really gifted at people's skills.
While we were speaking English, two of us at the table are actually Italian. Well, I could not shake off the distinctive feeling that they were just assuming we were foreigners who did not know any better.
The one redeeming feature was the dessert.
However, in this price range (40-60 EUR per person) there are much better choices in town. Not planning on going back.

Nice restaurant, located in a cosy antique basement, run by a very friendly couple. On the menu: an attractive selection of local traditional dishes. Also: an impressive selection of the local wine produce. And you get excellent food pairing advice when picking the wine. Not very expensive.
