I am not a fan of small angry dogs, hence the 4 star rating. The dog on the compound made my 5 year old girl cry hysterically and I had to ask the caretakers to lock it up, which they swiftly did......Mahi Mahi, the villa, is comfortable and perfect in every way possible. Immaculately clean and spacious with breathtaking views of a calm, blue, serene, ocean. The best sunset views on the island. Top notch security. Well maintained garden and a large pool. All the necessary appliances, clean linens, wares etc that one requires for everyday luxurious living. The entire compound is majestically situated ocean front and I don't mean across the road from the beach like Grafton, Seahorse Inn and Plantation Villas. You literally open the gate and step on sand. A bit of caution for the elderly, parents of young kids and the plain old lazy like myself, this villa is located on the top floor of the building. There is a bit of walking involved in accessing the front entrance. The back spiraling stairs felt a bit treacherous although I used it many times without a single slip and I am notoriously clumsy.
We had a wonderful stay at the Mahi Mahi suite. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. The views over the ocean and the gardens were particular highlights for us. Checking in and checking out were easy and straight forward and hosts Gillian and Chris were very helpful. The apartment is well located on the island making it easy to travel both to the north and to the south. Nearby restaurant the seahorse and beach cafe waves are also excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
