Our four day stay at Lina was perfect. When we arrived the house was extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable - nice firm mattresses which is what we like. The approach driveway was a bit tricky but after the first couple of journeys no problem. Señor Ventura, the host, was most attentive and had left some bananas and avocados with his compliments. They were delicious. Thanks very much!
Wow ! what a lovely space to chill and feel very much at home. Can't remember the last holiday where we all felt so calm and relaxed.
scenery spectacular,stunning panoramic views.
With an outside kitchen area where we made a fire every night and played cards !! although there was Wi-Fi with two teenage daughters, it was hardly used.Lina had a very calming influence.
The pool is not heated but great for a refreshing dip lizards everywhere scuttling about and we even had a holiday cat which we named biscuit !! and was reluctant to leave but fed whilst there.
close to santa cruz, and playa de nogales beach but don't use our road to get to it, use the one sign posted from puntellana.
Will go back which I rarely say.
Mr Ventura only speaks Spanish , but when we asked for logs, we got logs and lots of them, helpful and hard working.
nothing negative to say.
We enjoyed our stay, fantastic sea views a good host, very helpfull but only spoke Spanish.Very , clean and heated if needed.
Shops up the road and the place, once found is only half an hour form the airport.
Only concern was the road, very steep 15% plus and the need to manoeuvre into the parking space, but by the end of the week I was a professional at it. It is like all the side road on the island and it is part of the holiday.
If there is a quieter, more beautiful setting in which to relax, it would be extremely rare.
Casa Lina is a simple extremely private hideaway.
We were there in the Winter and did not expect sunny days. It is situated on the
east of La Palma and if people want sunshine in January they need to go to the West coast.
The local village has very friendly Spar shop and the local taverna is equally friendly.
It is an easy drive to Santa Cruz (20 mins).
If you want wi-fi you will need to go to the village. It was not available in January, but the delightful owner who lives within easy reach will be fitting wi-fi soon.
The beds are comfortable and there are heaters. There is NO oven. The cooker is excellent with lpg. A car is essential.
