The Sossusvlei Desert Lodge is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are more modern than most you may encounter on a safari which we enjoyed! The pool is incredible and we loved just sitting outside looking at the nature and watering hole. Our trip got off to a bit of a bumpy start when our flight from Windhoek got cancelled because of weather so we decided to slide everything by a day and we're glad we did! You definitely want as much time at this resort as possible. I'm a bit of a picky eater so it was my fault for not notifying the team ahead of time of my preferences but the food is very upscale and they weren't as open to modifying the menu as some other lodges. The activities the lodge has to offer is endless and there is something for everyone. Our favorite was the quad biking which was did in the evening and again in the morning before our flight to leave. So fun! Definitely recommend this lodge and the team is wonderful.

One, if not the, best resort experiences of our lives. Each exquisite minute was perfect. The full range of activities were all a blast, the food was delicious, the room fully stocked and amazing luxury. What made this particularly worth every single dollar was the staff. It was my birthday, and I was quite emotional, and the whole team came out with a special dinner in the desert that I will never forget. We have done a lot of traveling in Africa and the magic of Sossusvlei, the specialness of the private concession, and the unbeatable service of AndBeyond cannot be beat! Finally, the team was always COVID-19 safe and cognizant of keeping everything totally clean and healthy at all times.

We stayed at AndBeyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge during the weekend of March 26-28 for 2 nights. This was the best service we experienced in Namibia thus far, and since our move to Namibia more than 6 months ago, we have gone to many lodges and hotels here. Everyone at the lodge from the manager to the butler, to your driver, to a gift shop hostess, make sure that you enjoy every minute at the lodge to the fullest and they cater to all of your needs and wishes. We had an amazing dinner under the stars in the desert just for 2 of us and this was absolutely unforgettable experience! The food and wine selection was really great and of the highest quality, especially given the fact that this place is in the middle of the desert and logistics of getting things there are not easy. Special thanks to Manager Norman, our personal guide Immanuel and our Butler for making our stay so memorable and so enjoyable.

Room tip: All rooms are great!

We spent three glorious nights at the property as part of a Safari and we’re spoiled by the beauty of the lodge as well as the beauty of the staff.
Attention to detail, cleanliness, food and alcohol offerings were all on point. The rooms are private and beautiful, fully stocked with everything you could imagine needing. Need something else, they’re on it.
Memorable staff in alphabetical order: Esther, Gwen, Manzina, Michelle, Nicolene, Petrus and William.
The amenities, staff and property are well worth the commitment of resources.

First of all, let me remind you that for all my holidays I choose only the best 5* deluxe hotels and expect the highest possible level of service possible.
After visiting andBeyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge my benchmark shifted. Now I know that all I have seen before was not good enough.
This is more that a WOW!!!! This is not even incredible, this is simply impossible.

The hotel has its own airplane runway in the middle of the dessert. So you have to arrive here by plane or heli. Helipad is there as well.

Cool SUVs arrive from the hotel to meet you. Cold towels, cold drinks - all is there.
Once at the hotel, the whole hotel staff is out dancing and greeting you. Everything is very natural - has nothing to do with the articifial dances you see all around. The staff is really happy to greet you.
From the first day everyone addresses you using your name! And we were a group of Russians, our names are not that easy to remember from the first glance.
The lobby reminds of a billionaire's villa that was build in the middle of Mars. When you look around it is impossible to believe that you are on Earth.
Everything is included. Literally everything! You have a whole wine cellar with a big variety of wines, a huge bar working for all, all kind of snacks almost 24/7, amazing dinners.. Oh, I am a bit in a hurry. I will come back to that.

After an induction we were taken to our rooms. Well, best presidential suits that I have seen have nothing similar to what I faced. To be frank, I was shocked!! The room is huge, own swimming pool, 2 showers, lovely design - all this goes without saying. An enormous window, something like 3 meters high and 20 meters long facing the red dessert. You can lie on your bed and just stare there. For hours. Once the sun is down and you don't see a lot in the window, you have another small window in the room to enjoy the stars!!! Window for the stars!!!!

There is a drawing easel, paints and brushes. In case if you'd like to draw the scenery. And believe it or not, you can't but start drawing, even if you have never done it before.

Minimar has like 20 different bottles (all included) - spirits, champagne, wine, mixers, always fresh ice. All types of glasses.
A special fridge for ice-cream!!!!! With several different ice-creams available.

For room service there is a special window with two doors, so that you don't get disturbed when there is something delivered to you room. It is just kept in this area and you pick it up whenever you feel like.

All postcards coming from service, cleaning, management are all different, hand-written. Laundry that is also included is tied with a ribbon and appears in your room while you are not in the room.

All sorts of souvenirs and gifts appear several times a day.

Breakfasts, dinners! OMG! Seeing as there are only 10 rooms, you don't encounter any other guests as the table is always served in different places (next to the pool, on the balcony, etc). You feel as being the only guest of the hotel.
Increadibly good food, like it top western restaurants.

Observatory! This hotel has its own observatory with the astronomer to tell you about the stars and constellations.

All sorts of actitives, all of which are super exciting - quads at sunset, flying baloon, going to the Deadvlei dessert, e-cycling in the dessert. Everything is arranged on the best possible level, with drinks, food, a lead, who helps you carry all equipment, take photos, and everything you might need. Super friendly, very sincere!

The most unbelievable thing happened when we were coming back from an activity in the middle of the very hot day. Literally in the middle of nowhere we see an SUV parked. We stop. It thought that something happened. Imagine my bewilderment when instead we say a guy from our hotel who took out 6 ice-cold smoothies for us!

Summarizing all of the above, if you are passionate about travelling, this is THE HOTEL you have to visit. Beware, world will never be the same after this.
