My girlfriend that I spent two nights at the Weingut and Hotel Meintzinger as part of our trip along the Romantic Road in Germany.

What I loved most about the hotel was its great location. It's located a short drive away from Wurzburg and the small town that its in, Frickenhausen, is a lovely little small town as well.

It was easy to get to and from the hotel and with so many restaurants nearby we never had to venture too far away to find something to do or eat.

The hotel itself is quite grand with an imposing lobby and lots of small hallways and staircases that are used to get to and from the rooms. On the second floor is a beautiful balcony where you can relax and enjoy the sun if you're visiting during the warmer summer months.

We had a large spacious Suite with a separate bedroom and it was great to come back at the end of the day to relax on the couch with the window open to listen to the sounds of the town.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful with Helping us plan our trip to some of the nearby smaller towns and other interesting tourist sites.

There is breakfast available at the hotel and I recommend grabbing a seat on the balcony if the weather is nice. The breakfast was well done with quite a few options depending on what you feel like eating.

We aren’t wine drinkers but there are some options for tasting and buying wine at the hotel if you're so inclined.

The wifi worked great and there is free parking right out front of the hotel.

Overall, I would recommend the Weingut and Hotel Meintzinger if you're looking for a romantic and luxury stay while visiting Wurzburg or touring the Romantic Road.

We spent a night at the Weingut and Hotel Meintzinger to celebrate our 10th anniversary.
This hotel is a great hotel featuring very nicely furnished rooms and suites, many of which with access to large shared balconies and some with smaller balconies.
The hotel is truly romantic and offers true Franconian hospitality.
And the breakfast buffet is just awesome!
Even though the Weingut and Hotel Meintzinger is in historic buildings, it is not old fashioned, but very modern.
If you are looking for a place to enjoy Franconian wine and hospitality, check this hotel out!
We will definitely be back!

Stayed at the hotel due to business, but found it a very warm and comfortable place. The rooms are extremely nice and the ability to sample wines is always a pleasure. The layout of the hotel is intriguing and I enjoyed just wandering around to see what was there.

Room tip: The single rooms are a bit small, but very well furnished.

We stayed here with a group in 2 double rooms and a single. All rooms were modern and recently renovated - decorated tastefully with many beautiful art pieces and wooden bowls. The beds and bathrooms the best we had on our trip. The bathroom had a rain-shower. All rooms had a balcony, one had a private courtyard.
Prepare to be AMAZED by the huge breakfast buffet complete with champagne and homemade bakery as well as a wide variety of delicatessen.
The setting is a completely remodeled historic building that served as a summer residence in the 1700 of a "Furstbishop" - the exterior is kept in the historic style.
The town is adorable and ancient. What a find.
The staff couldn't be more friendly. We didn't have time to do the wine tasting, but I would recommend to explore it.

Room tip: All of the rooms are beautiful, some have a private courtyard.

I travel a lot, been all over the world, in all kinds of hotels. I can honestly say Hotel Weingut Meintzinger got it all right and is one of the best hotels I have ever been. Beautiful building; two minutes walk from the small but lovely village; plenty of parking spaces; modern decorated, spacious room with a nice balcony, overlooking a quiet courtyard; nice wines; friendly staff; and the best breakfast you can have.
