With a lovely beach and location, Glitter Bay is one of our favorite spots. 202 Serenity is clean, tidy, but new glassware and kitchen utensils would be appreciated. The condo hasn't had a major update like most of the others on the property. Furnishings have been reupholstered, but the wicker and bamboo furniture is from the 80's. If you wish a swish upgraded condo, this isn't for you, although for us it was fine. No fancy appliances, just the basics. You must plan for ice - the old-fashioned way with ice-cube trays. No big deal, but it might be for chic vacationers. There is a small bar fridge on the large balcony which we had to use since the main fridge isn't big.
There is no air conditioning only a ceiling fan in the main kitchen, living and hallway areas and if it is hot and steamy weather (which it usually is!), it takes some getting used to especially when working in the tiny kitchen. So don't cook, just go for dinner at Cin-Cin by the Sea! our favorite restaurant. See my review.
The bedrooms are air-conditioned, a must for Barbados and also have ceiling fans. There are shelves in the cupboard in the 2nd bedroom that you must use for clothing since there aren't adequate drawers.
All in all, Serenity is very casual, like Auntie's cottage. Car rental is a must for the grocery store and fresh baked goods from Flindt in Holetown. Go early for the croissants!
