The resort is large and the villas have large rooms. Nice bedroom with AC, large bathroom with only bathtube and a livingroom/kitchen with fan, furnitures and a big, good cooler.

You can find some dirt in the rooms, when you are searching:-). Room service work every third day and toilett paper is only first day for free. My lady missed a ring in bedroom after room service worked. Not very expensive, but a mystery.

The pool is nice, but the breakfast (one time) was not so very good. You can rent motobike for good rate. When you got villa far from street, you should have a good night.

Room Tip: Don´t book rooms in front to the street, very high noises in night, too

The place is ok. A bit far away from everything, so personal transportation is a must. Wi-fi doesn't always work properly, so if you need it 24/7 it might be an issue. The cleaning is horrible. If you pay around 20euros per day, then it's fine, if you pay more - I would suggest to take a different house.

I have just checked out of this hotel after a three week stay. The staff were very friendly and the food at the restaurant was pretty good. The Wi-Fi cuts in and out constantly, sometimes going off entirely for hours at a time. I went to Koh Samui to take a TEFL course, which was then cancelled and I had to complete it on-line from the hotel in a very limited amount of time. It was difficult to do as the internet kept cutting out.

The staff cleaned the room about every third day, and only when I asked. They did not seem to mind doing it, but they never did unless I asked first. They also only provide the first two rolls of toilet paper and then you buy it yourself. This was fine because I was there for a long time and the rate was cheap but it would have been nice to know before running out. My room had a bathtub but it wasn't in very good shape and I did not have any hot water during the entire stay. The shower head was low and it was challenging to wash my hair without hurting my back. The sink had a large counter, which was handy and the rest of the washroom was fine.

The air conditioning worked well. The manager was helpful in arranging a day trip around the Island as well as transportation to the airport. The grounds are lovely and the bungalows are nicer than similar priced ones in the area. It was also nice to have a covered deck area as it rains at least once a day. There is not much to do within the immediate area, you have to either rent a vehicle (and the roads are very unsafe due to the other drivers. Seriously, wait a day or two before renting anything and make sure you still want to drive there before putting out money) or pay for a taxi. The taxi's all say 'metered' but none of them actually are. They tell you the price up front, which is about four times what you would pay for the same distance in a metered taxi.

I did not use the exercise facility but it looked like it had a lot of different machines and was well maintained. I also did not use the massage service because there are several places within walking distance that looked a little more private and comfortable. The massage at the resort is done on a wooden bench by the pool. As I didn't try it though, maybe it was more comfortable than it looked.

Overall it is decent value for your money.

Been staying here for 6-7 years once or twice a year and love it as the TEFL teachers tend to stay here long-term, meaning it's a budget haven - quiet, an empty(ish) pool which is refreshing from the sunrise-to-sunset 'towel' lounger reservations you see elsewhere.

-Decent AC bungalows of varying standards (ask for a new one at the front)
-Service with a smile/quaint
-Quiet swimming pool (always space)
-Rooms cleaned daily (although not always that well)
-Fresh sheets/towels, etc daily
-Excellent Bophut location (easy to walk or hop on a scooter to Maenam and even Chaweng which is about 20 mins away)

All for 800 - 1,000THB per night (less if you book for a month or more). With costs having seriously risen in Koh Samui over the last few years - Save House is still cheap and as fine as it was 6-7 years ago.

Room Tip: Ask for a new one near the front. When booking do it by phone as they never reply to emails!

we had originally booked this hotel for 2 nights hoping to find a different hotel in Chaweng afterwards. however, given that it was peak season (between Christmas and new year), the majority of the hotels throughout the island were booked or extremely overpriced for our budget. luckily, we were able to extend our stay here and the manager even gave us a discount on the rate. the location of this hotel is not great if you plan on being on foot and specially if you want to be near all the action in Chaweng but once we rented a scooter from this place (cheapest rate on the island), we were able to explore all the areas of the island. the beach near this resort is not great, but less than a 10 minute bike ride away is the Bophut area, which in our opinion has even a nicer beach than chaweng. the resort itself is nice and well maintained, luxurious vegetation and very quiet and although the beach is not accessible through the resort, there is a nice pool onsite. unlike some of the pictures of the rooms we saw on tripadvisor, ours was outdated and a bit austere, but it made up for that in size and cleanliness. don’t expect much help from the staff, as only the manager speaks some English and she’s not always present. there is a restaurant/bar onsite with decent food options, but better to take a quick bike ride and go to the restaurants nearby; our favorite was samui food corner for cheap and delicious meals and smoothies.
