“Too hot for comfort”
Reviewed 3 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We liked this apartment apart from one major thing - no air conditioning!
There were two floor fans provided and we had ours on all night. The children's room didn't have one and they had difficulty sleeping.
The apartment was well stocked with dishes, towels, cleaning products and had great storage space.
We enjoyed evenings out on the balcony where the fireworks at Disney were visible.
Easy bus access to Disney at 2 Euros each and the taxi for 6 of us cost 20 Euros each way which was great for coming home at night.

“Excellent location for a trip to Disney with the Family”
Reviewed 6 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed in this appartment for a week in May 2015. I travelled with my Wife, my parents and my 8 year old daughter.

We had 12 month passes that we'd bought for Disney last summer so were excited to return before they expired and get an extra weeks usage.

The appartment was excellent, it couldn't have been closer to Disney, it was about 5 minutes in the car. On foot the apartment is only a couple of minutes walk through the Chateau grounds to the ring road around Disney. It is technically close enough to see the fireworks at Disney in the evening but you wouldn't watch from the balcony as they are mostly obsured by the trees (at least at this time of year). You are certainly close enough to hear the Disney train tooting its whistle every now and then.

The appartment is on the 2nd floor of a it's building and there is a lift provided to get up or you can use the stairs if you prefer. For anyone in a wheelchair or with very restricted mobility, there is a little hill to get up to the door of the appartment from the parking area, though not far ( maybe 20 yards or so ) it's a little steep, though I suspect not too much of an obsticle for most people.

There's plenty of parking in the Chateau car parks which seemed safe enough but they did get busy at the weekend, when we arrived there was a wedding on and a popular car boot sale on the Sunday. We managed to find spaces for 2 cars with no problem though.

Inside the appartment is clean and nicely decorated. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us, the main living area has a large dining table and a great seating area. There's a good TV with a big screen, we didn't watch any local television as we'd taken a chromecast stick with us to watch a bit of netflix and look through our photos in the evening. There is a good size master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a wirlpool bath which my daughter loved. Also there is a bedroom with bunk beds and a family bathroom and toilet. Then there is a mezanine floor with a double bed and it's own study / seatining area. The mezanine is accessed by a spiral staircase.

The local area was lovely for evening walks through the Chateau grounds and in the village there were a range of shops including a lovely bakery. It's worth noting that very few shops open on Sunday. The bakery was open for bread and delicious breakfast goods but we struggled to find anywhere to get a pint of milk. Even the supermarket at the nearby Val d'Europe was closed on Sunday.

There are plently of nearby restaurants, in addition to the ones in Disney itself, there are some in the local village a short walk away and more at Val D'Europe which is only 5 minutes drive away.

Fadoua, the owner was lovely and very helpful, she met us on arrival to hand over the key and met us on the Saturday morning so we could hand them back. We had her mobile number in case of problems but never needed to call.

Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this appartment. We had a fantastic week here and it provides everything you need for a great holiday.

This apartment is great, everything was clean and easy to use. Getting to Disney was a 5 min drive. There is a bakery and grocery store within walking distance. Thank you.

“Centrally located, serene and fairly-well appointed”

Our family, from the United States, lived in this apartment for approximately six months in 2014. It was the fourth and final location we were placed in during our year in France -- and provided our nicest and best overall experience. It is all that the first writer indicated and more. Fadoua worked very hard to provide us with the comfort we are used to in finding this apartment for us.

A beautiful view from the front terrace of a pond and the chateau, a large park-like setting with trails to walk along a very large secondary pond was just steps outside the door.

As we were on the top floor of the complex, having a lift made bringing luggage and groceries upstairs so much easier than at our first three-floor walkup. Inside the apartment, there is an open-concept lower living area with good natural light, small but efficient kitchen space, and nice little terrace and a good-size closet and bathroom en suite in our master bedroom. Our teenage daughters each had their own sleeping spaces, and enjoyed very much studying in the upper loft office area and making it their own retreat. We did have internet problems, which created some very serious issues for their schooling. But unless you are staying for a long-term basis this should not pose a problem.
Also, the bedding (mattress/boxspring) were not firm enough or comfortable on a long-term basis. But the general furnishings were of nice quality. The owner's mom, who was very kind and gracious, having heard of our internet problems, even visited to apologize and see that all was going well for us.

As Americans, we were never really able to understand or adjust to not having a large clothes washer or to having NO clothes dryer throughout the whole year. (I could go on and on but won't) There was a small clothes washer in the second bathroom, which we never used. Having tried hard to adapt to European clothes-washing customs and not being able to adjust, we did eventually "break down" and use a good Laundromat in Bailly-Romainvilliers weekly that was recommended to us by Fadoua and Fiona to wash two large loads of clothes (at about a cost of $50 per week). What a change and a blessing!

Each day, from our front balcony we would hear the gentle sounds of Disney rollercoaster, and the gentle laughter of guests enjoying the park through our open patio doors as well as see the fireworks over the tree tops and the music of Disney at night - which made us smile. We had come to France for a family-member to be an integral part of the new attraction engineering team. There were roses and plants on each of the terraces to tend, which made me feel not so homesick for my yard and flowers.

The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances were good - with a large refrigerator/freezer, a flat-top stove, automatic dishwasher, large oven and microwave, and pretty good storage space, There was a good amount of linens provided, which was so very appreciated. We appreciated that the complex was gated and could only be accessed with a code, as well as having the safe and lit parking right outside the complex.

The few problems that persisted throughout our stay was that there was a leak in our hallway water panel that was never fixed as well as a huge leak in the foyer of our building that smelled awful and created an unsanitary situation with stagnant water sitting on the floor often and ceiling tiles open for months on end. In fairness, this was not the problem of the condo owner we were told, rather a complex management problem... that persisted throughout our stay.

And as was mentioned before, the location was very central to Val d'Europe, main highways, and many restaurants by car. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time in this serene setting.

“Excellent Base near Disneyland Paris”

Stayed here for 4 nights over New Years, and would highly recommend the apartment. Although the weather was cold, the apartment was lovely and cosy and warm, and very welcoming after a long day at Disney.
It was excellently equipped, with everything from cutlery, kitchenware, towels, tv, wifi, dishwasher etc. It was very spacious, and although 6 of us stayed (4 adults and 2 children) it never felt crowed.

Fadoua was very professional and always answered any questions promptly. She also met us at the apartment with the keys, and was there when we left.
Overall, we had a great time here, and would definitely return!
