I don't often review things but Pop and Baan Tiwa were so amazing I had to recommend it to all!

After 8 hours travelling we arrived at the villa hot, sticky and grumpy at each other. The first thing Pop did was provide ice cold wet cloths, which is such a small thing, but was exactly what we needed just then!

Pop was very helpful, and helped us sort out hiring scooters, along with providing a book on things to do in the area, and sorting a pick up after the holiday. She even brought a couple of papayas after we mentioned we wanted to make papaya salad! I can't say enough positive things about the service from Pop.

As for the villa, it's great, so beautiful; it was so nice we could have easily stayed there all day. It's in a great location: only a 10 minute walk to Fisherman's Village and the lovely Bohput beach, and a easy journey to Lamai and Chaweng, as well as Big Buddha area.

It was all the little touches that made this villa extra special: from torches by the bed, to sunhats and 'slippers' in each of the rooms. The pool is lovely, and got the sun most of the day. The best bit is the huge sala, which is where we spent most of our time while there - relaxing on the sofa and listening to music into the night.

I can't recommend Baan Tiwa enough: if you're looking for a great villa in a great location, then this is the only choice. Very much hoping to be back on Koh Samui in a couple of years, and I'll think of this place first.

Welcomed by Pop the owner, cool refreshing towels, fruit basket and snacks all a nice touch too.
Immaculate gardens, well maintained accommodation with a fantastic outdoor living space.
Well appointed kitchen, spacious accommodation would suit large families/groups.
Well positioned for access to Fisherman's village with an abundance of eateries and bars to suit all tastes and budgets.
Pop and her team of gardeners and cleaners are a credit to this accommodation.
We would certainly return and recommend.

This was our second visit to Fishermans village and this villa just made it extra special.
It started with a luxury private transfer from the airport and then we arrived at the villa and were not disappointed it certainly has the WOW factor.
The villa is decorated to a very high standard, everything immaculate. The outside area definitely brings the true meaning of outside living to life with the huge Sala which has a excellent dining and separate seating area, a bonus was it is surrounded by water which have koi fish in and water features giving that extra relaxing feeling. The pool area is set on a separate terrace and gets the sun all day.
Inside the villa there is a beautiful modern kitchen with every utensil you would need, we enjoyed many breakfasts, lunches and a couple of evenings in using the amenities.
The bedrooms are large and beds very comfortable, the only downside is if all 4 bedrooms were being used it would get a little awkward with the bathrooms being in the middle of each of the two bedrooms but for families this would be ideal.
This was an amazing villa and we would definitely stay here again, it is a 15 minute stroll into Fishermans village so was the perfect location for us.
Lastly a quick thanks to Pop the owner who could not do enough for us during our stay offering to book trips, taxis or give local advice and recommendations. Oh yes also a big thanks to the gardener he is a great worker and so friendly.
