This is our third time to Koh Samui and have to say this hotel ticked all the boxes for us. The location right next to the beach and within easy walking distance of Fisherman’s Village was perfect. We are a family of 4 and had two chalets/bungalows next to each other which worked really well. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going out of their way to assist in any way to make our stay perfect. Always plenty of sun beds on the beach and around the pool. Can recommend and we’d stay here again on our next trip to Samui.

We stayed here for 6 days, it was our first visit to Koh Samui and the resort. Overall I have rated the resort as very good but it would have been excellent if we had not experienced some negatives which I have listed below in the cons. Lots of pros though! If I was to come to the resort again I would check what else was happening during that time (ie weddings).

Pros
Location: excellent, walking distance by road and beach to Fisherman’s village with lots of great bars and restaurants.
Staff: they work tirelessly are friendly and efficient. There is a beach bar service which was great.
Beach: They don’t mind the food sellers and locals selling their wares. These people are not in your face and we bought some bbq corn for lunch which was delicious and cheap. The water is warm, clean and safe. The beach is also very clean and the chairs and umbrellas mean you can spend day here (apart from when you are asked to move, see cons)
Villas: lovely and well furnished with everything you need. Only thing they need to improve them is to put up hooks for towels.
Food and drink: generally good value, breakfast is busy but good selection. Had gluten free bread and muffins.

Con: there were weddings on two of the days we stayed. Notes were distributed about these but we were not prepared for the disruption and will in future check that our hotel does not have weddings when we stay, or has designated areas for the wedding party. Part of the beach was shut early for one wedding and a large section of the seating area beside the bar where normally sit to watch the sea was also taken over for the wedding. on this day we struggled to get a beach sunbed. We also couldn’t sit and look out to sea as they had moved most of the sofas to erect a temporary bar for the wedding.
The next day there were more weddings and we returned to the hotel early after dinner to get a drink there, only to find that the wedding party were in the bar area with their music blaring and having their reception. We could have sat in the restaurant area for a drink but we felt we were intruding and it was telling that the bar was empty of non wedding guests. No doubt they felt the same. We went to bed early.
So, two days of our stay were interrupted by weddings. The hotel needs to organise the weddings better so they don’t compromise the experience of other guests. We remember staying at hotel with a wedding before but it had dedicated area on the beach and a bar area just for the wedding party so we were only vaguely aware of it. Have to say though that the staff worked really hard to prepare for the weddings!
Another organisational issue was when the hotel organised a musician to play one evening. We had to vacate part of the beach at 3pm so they could prepare it for this event. Yet again, we moved off the beach early (although we could have moved over to the other side where there were other beds). We decided to go up to the sofa area looking onto the beach. They then asked if they could take our table beside the sofa to put on the beach for the event so we dutifully removed our drinks and let them take the table, we laughed at this but it was a tad annoying. Luckily they didn’t ask us to move from the sofas! The hotel should set up the musician to the side of the sofa area so that no one has to move at all. Most people disappeared when he came on and the atmosphere wasn’t good but if they had left people alone and not asked them to move they would ha e probably stayed around and bought drinks to listen to the music. He was good by the way.

These small things marred our stay at Peace which was a real shame as the staff are generally wonderful, the location great and the accommodation lovely. Our only advice would be to future guests is to check if there are weddings and if they are, expect there to be some interruption and avoid the hotel at that time.

We have just returned after 9 nights at this resort, as a family of 4 staying in 2 bungalows.

Staff were generally good and helpful and clearly worked hard to make the stay enjoyable. Food was very good on the whole and given it was hotel prices we did not feel it was over priced. We attended the Thai themed night and the Surf and turf BBQ on the beach. We enjoyed the latter more, particularly because of the fire show but food at both was good.

The combination of the pool and the beach offered good choice with excellent views, and the beach walks to nearby Fisherman’s Village in the evening were short and enjoyable (not the easiest sand to walk on as it is very soft so you can get warm but it did not put most people off and you can go by road if you prefer).

The bungalows themselves were clean and comfortable and we found them fine for the time we stayed there but agree with some earlier comments that there is not a lot of storage space for clothing. We had bungalows 128 and 129 which were next to the housekeeping base which meant we were woken early (7.30am) by the noise of staff talking and pushing service carts once or twice but did not cause us enough concern to mention it...a minor point but conscious others may have more concern.

This was our first time in Koh Samui and we think this is a great location for a holiday and we would definitely consider staying here again so thanks to all at Peace Resort for a great holiday.

A great place to wind down after travelling around Thailand. Staff were very friendly and helpful, lovely spacious bungalow and excellent variety at breakfast. The short walk into Fisherman’s Village was a bonus for the night market, restaurants and bars.

Stayed in the hotel in May'18. Hotel is very nice, offers big cozy villas close to the beach and the pool. This was not my first stay in Thailand so I moreless knew what to expect. The breakfast was great - a huge variety of food and fruits to choose from, was not boring even after 2 weeks. Hotel area is very nice, full of grass and trees, which makes it a very pleasant place to hide from the sun and heat. Fisherman's village is walking distance from the hotel (you can reach it along the beach easily as well). The only thing I found annoying was the sea which was not very clear (compared to Lamai a year ago). But this is sth that I had to check in advance, so it's not a hotel's fault. Seems Bophut is not the best area for swimming and enjoying clear blue crystal sea. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone searching a high level of service, lovely hotel area and friendly staff!
