Villa Louisa is a fantastic , modern villa within walking distance to the beach and village with plenty of tavernas.
We stayed for two weeks and couldn’t fault anything. On arrival it was spotless and the little things mad a difference - very nice welcome basket with fruit, homemade cake, jam, olive oil, all the bathrooms had filled soap dispensers and toilet roll, washing up liquid in the kitchen and soap for the dishwasher. This meant we didn’t have to stock up straight away.In the kitchen as well as the usual there was a filter coffee maker and a sandwich toaster ( a hit with the kids) The pool is a good size for a splash and cool off, with 4 sun beds and 2 deck chairs, great large table for eating alfresco under the shade and a barbecue if you fancy outdoor cooking and the garden walls are surround by lovely bougainvillea. The bedrooms are a good size , the 2 upstairs have en-suite, plenty of storage and hanging space , the downstairs bedroom had the bathroom next door ( wet room with rain shower) . There is a safe in the bedroom upstairs and a washing machine downstairs which is a great bonus. The tv also has Netflix , another hit with teenagers, who liked to watch a movie before bed !
Some great tavernas to choose from in the village with authentic Greek cuisine, a couple of cafe/bars for a pre dinner drink and a great coffee shop for takeaways ( coffees, sandwich, ice cream)
We loved it so much , we’ve booked for 2021!
We spent a week at this villa and can only say good things about in and Parnomo. The villa is spacious, light, clean and has great views over the sea. The pool isn't the biggest but adequate for the villa and the nearest beach is a short walk down the road. The town if parnomos has restaurants and bars and the views from the harbour are great.
Will be returning!
We loved the villa. Our family is five adults and we had a great holiday staying at villa Louisa which had everything we needed.
The welcome pack was very much appreciated after our late arrival and the hosts greeted us and made us feel welcome. Thank you to everyone there who looked after us at the villa. We would love to visit again one day.
The location of the villa is ideal. It is peaceful, yet only a short walk into the village and to the beach. If you are walking into the centre of the village, the walk is almost completely on the level. To the harbour and the beach it is a short walk downhill. There are many tavernas in the village & most were open during our stay from 23 to 30 October, though were considering closing very soon. The quality of the food ranges from good to very good. However, I was most impressed with the quality of the local white wine. The house wine in the tavernas is very pleasant & amazingly cheap. Back to the villa - the garden at the back and the courtyard to the front and indeed the entrance itself, are all very well designed, planted and maintained. The sight of the bougainvillea in the garden on the beautiful stone walls, with the sea in the distance, is very pleasing to the eye. The villa is comfortable and spacious. My partner and I travelled with our elderly mothers, one of whom is more frail than the other. The stairs to the 1st floor bedrooms could do with a handrail on both sides, rather than the side on which the stairs narrow. It is fortunate then, that the villa's 3rd bedroom is located on the ground floor, where there is also a bathroom. We were made very welcome by the hosts and I have already recommended the villa to friends.
Modern, spotlessly clean , well equipped villa in the beautiful town of Panormo . Perfect for our family with three generations . Great views. Great restaurants nearby and the perfect spot to base ourselves and explore western Crete . We will stay again, if the villa isn't booked up, on our next visit to Panormo .
