Perfect relaxation!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 22 Dec 2020
Spent six nights in a superior one bedroom Villa. It was perfect. A wonderful quiet holiday without crowds or distraction. The beach walks were amazing, found lots of cool shells. The band in the bar at night was excellent, many thanks to them for the entertainment. I had all inclusive with meals, food was good. Occasionally some things on the menu were not available. Staff were kind And helpful. Thanks to all for making my holiday one to remember.

Excellent place to enjoy your holidays. located in a beautiful natural beauty, warm welcoming and very friendly staff, good food and good hospitality with sea view from both western and Chinese restaurants. The villa was so nice with beautiful bed room, swimming pool and jacuzzi.
highly recommend for the couple who are searching a peace and lovely place far away from the crowd to spend their good times with their loved ones.

      Pros:
      Stunningly beautiful
      Private
      Luxurious villa
      Romantic
      Impressive landscaping
      Large private pool in villa
      Good amenities in villa
      Good food and beverages
Small store on site selling basic necessities
      No crowds

      Cons:
      A bit far from airport
Many wedding photographers yelling directions across public pool and using drones disturbs peaceful environment in public areas
Can’t swim in ocean- security comes to stop anyone that tries
Only a few members of staff speak even a little English

It is so beautiful that I would not hesitate to recommend it, and myself hope to come again, but with a few side-notes:
First, the English level of the staff is low. Even though the hotel gives the impression it is suitable for foreign tourists (signs and menus in Chinese and English) we experienced a surprisingly high language barrier. This was really only an issue for us when we wanted to order room service. Even though there is are English room-service menus in the villa, it’s simply not possible to order in English over the phone. This goes for basically everything. Even using our basic Chinese to ask for ice was difficult. While staff do seem to try hard to please, there seemed to be a general reluctance to even try to communicate with foreigners. It seemed the staff believed they could not communicate with us on sight. Staff at the bar even tried to send us to the lobby when we went to order a drink because they assumed they couldn’t help us. (They did in the end and we understood each other just fine, but it should not fall to the guest to convince the staff to attempt communication). The very friendly man who runs the store was the only one who seemed to understand we could speak a little Chinese even though we were foreigners! I think management could help boost the staff’s confidence with some very basic training, and this would make a big difference for foreign guests. If you speak more than a little basic Chinese and don’t plan on going anywhere or asking for anything over the phone, then this won’t be much of an issue.
Second, there is a store on site with some limited snacks, wine and beer, as well as basics like sunscreen. There is nothing else walkable in the area. It might be wise to bring in some snacks and beverages with you if you want more than a basic selection and don’t want to mess around with a car trip to a bigger store.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy calm atmosphere. We hired Villa with a pool. Water is clean . Staff is friendly. WiFi was not that good . In the night there is the bar with live performance . Beach sand is clean but you can’t swim in the sea there nearby there is boundary island. If you plan to explore around the resort better hire a car

When talking with the hotel manager, she told me that the hotel really wanted to emphasize a few things: privacy, a preservation of classical Chinese architecture, and dedication to the highest-quality stay for the guests as possible. Well done!

I was here for two days and a night, and I have to say....wow! The pools were super clean and quiet, the bar was well stocked, and there was a lot to do. Art studio, tea house, the gym, volleyball, the beach, and more. I very, very rarely stay at hotels like this, so I was blown away by everything.

I'd really recommend trying the big restaurant downstairs from the lobby - the food there is delightful!

I don't have a lot to say that's negative of this place - I genuinely had a good time. I stayed in one of the standard standalone villas, which included its own private swimming pool in addition to, well, the decked-out villa.

I don't know if I'd be able to afford to stay there again, but if I could, I certainly would! What a treat :)

Third time back to the resort. Love the fact that it is away from the crowds. Attended a three day Zen Course that the hotel is offering, an amazing experience with Zen masters from the original brith place of Zen (Shaolin Temple). The serenity of the resort provided a great backdrop for the lessons. Can't wait for the next one. I have noticed an improvement ever time I returned particularly in term of service. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. The rooms were luxurious and the food absolutely fabulous, partly because the stay was part of the Zen course which included amazing vegetarian cuisine.
