When talking with the hotel manager, she told me that the hotel really wanted to emphasize a few things: privacy, a preservation of classical Chinese architecture, and dedication to the highest-quality stay for the guests as possible. Well done!
I was here for two days and a night, and I have to say....wow! The pools were super clean and quiet, the bar was well stocked, and there was a lot to do. Art studio, tea house, the gym, volleyball, the beach, and more. I very, very rarely stay at hotels like this, so I was blown away by everything.
I'd really recommend trying the big restaurant downstairs from the lobby - the food there is delightful!
I don't have a lot to say that's negative of this place - I genuinely had a good time. I stayed in one of the standard standalone villas, which included its own private swimming pool in addition to, well, the decked-out villa.
I don't know if I'd be able to afford to stay there again, but if I could, I certainly would! What a treat :)
