I do not know why this hotel doesn’t have reviews posted everyday. This hotel was one of the best we’ve ever stayed at.

We’re Ambassador level at InterContinental hotels, we’ve stayed multiple times at Sandals and other 5-star hotels, including Nayara in Costa Rica. The service we received daily at Muri Beach Club was comparable to or exceeded the service we received at top ranked resorts.

Everyone we encountered was friendly, genuine, and willing to help. Rowena greeted us almost every morning at breakfast with her smile. Her memory is amazing remembering everyone’s name by day 2 and where everyone is traveling from. The staff at the restaurant and bar during the day were friendly and readily available to take care of you. Elenora served us multiple times at dinner, where she paid attention to every detail to make sure our dinner was great and we loved every menu recommendation she made.

Breakfast menu changed daily and we enjoyed every main dish along with the fruit and freshly baked pastry. Every menu item we ordered whether lunch, dinner, dessert, or cocktail drink was good. We had frozen pina coladas almost daily and being it’s more affordable to split the fishbowl drink, we had many fishbowls!

I do not know the name of the staff member who took care of our room most days. Our room was spotless! The air conditioner kept the room cool. The whole property is clean and attended to daily. We thought it was well worth having a beachfront ground level room.

I spent a lot of time researching before planning our trip- Muri area, Muri lagoon, children vs. adults only, beachfront, etc. I walked the beach all the way south past Nautilus and thought Muri Beach Club had the best sand, was most beachfront, has no rocks at shore, and a shallow lagoon area. I was able to walk in the water from the shore at Muri Beach Club outside our room across to Koromiri with the water being no higher than waist deep and most often knee deep or more shallow. I walked and snorkeled also from Koromiri to almost Taakoka. There’s lots of area to kayak too. Water shoes are needed because of rocks as you get closer to Taakoka and many sea cucumbers. While we visited and snorkeled the beaches on the west side and south end of the island, we’re happy we chose Muri for our stay. We had a rental car and thought we were conveniently located to all areas of the island. Muri Beach Club is convenient to Muri Night Markets and stores close by to pick up bottled water and snacks.

The WiFi at the hotel is excellent. I have business internet service at my home for work and the WiFi was as fast as my home service. I could send 20+ pictures through What’s App or Facebook Messenger in about a minute. The WiFi was consistent the entire stay, didn’t change throughout the property, and is the basis for the room tv.

The only feature missing at the resort is a washer/dryer. Although, laundry service is an option to purchase.

The property is undergoing a renovation soon at the pool area. I would not let that deter you from booking because we were never in the pool. We enjoyed the seating on the beach and having a beachfront room, especially for sunrises and sunsets.

I know there’s lots of options to choose from on where to stay. I’m confident in recommending Muri Beach Club for its location, rooms, food, drinks, and service. Thank you to all the staff for making our trip a memorable one.

Great location with a lovely beach spot and snorkeling on the front door. Lovely staff, nice clean room and awesome pool which we made great use of and had to ourselves whenever we used it.
The only downsides were we paid extra to go adults only and there were definitely under 18s staying there on a daily basis so should not advertise as adults only if it is not.
There was also a wedding being held one night which we were made aware of 1 hour before rehearsal started and on the night other in-house guests were made to sit outside the restaurant, which was ok because it was a warm night but although we booked for dinner our booking had not been written down and I was called 'Paul' by the waitress 3 times even after telling her my actual name each time (and the fact I am a female) . Just felt like we were intruding and an inconvenience that night and didn't feel like we could use the pool with 70+ wedding guest.
Brilliant massage and facial at the spa, and a daily cooked breakfast special each day was a bonus with an awesome continental buffet.
Very comfortable beds and no rosters waking us up!

Our stay at Muri beach club was superb. We were here for our honeymoon. The resort was so clean and the staff were great. Nothing was a hassle. Drinks and cocktails kept flowing. Staff take pride in their work and customer service was awesome.

Room tip: Peaceful and quiet with no kids.

Fabulous stay at the Muri Beach Club Resort. The service from all staff was exemplary - especially Jim, Israel, Kat, Michael, Jen and Rowena. Also, the lady who cleaned and kept our room spotless, (sorry I don’t know your name), whilst always smiling. Great place to stay with great cocktails. Thanks to all who made our stay so memorable. We will be back.

I mostly enjoyed a solo week snorkeling on Rarotonga of the Cook Islands in April 2024, coming from the U.S. through Tahiti. Getting there takes some doing. I used LAX, one of the worst U.S. airports, as my U.S. gateway, and Air Tahiti Nui, a great airline, to get to Tahiti. After transferring a checked bag back through security on Tahiti, I took another, nearly 3-hour, turbo prop flight with Air Tahiti, a different but also well-run airline company, to Raro. The one logistical mistake I made was pre-arranging my transfers between the Raro airport and the Muri Beach Club Hotel (MBCH) through the hotel with Cook Island Tours (CIT). The transfer with CIT to the hotel on arrival was fine. However, the CIT transfer back to the airport from the MBCH did not show up, and after waiting 20 minutes, I decided to punt and take the island bus back to the airport to ensure I made my departure flight on time. A MBCH front-desk staffer at the time appeared to try to call CIT at my request to check on their status but seemed not to be getting through. I emailed and called both MBCH and CIT for an explanation, and half a refund, but never got a response from either. So, either CIT had a problem or, possibly, someone cancelled my pickup for some inexplicable reason. My suggestion would be to just use the island bus for transfers and island outings. It may run 15-20 min late on occasion, but usually close to on-time and certainly more dependable than sketchy arrangements between hotels, their staff and private transfer companies. And while the bus takes only a few minutes longer than using a private vehicle, you get an enjoyable, more local, experience. The bus is also MUCH cheaper: 5 NZD/person/one-way trip, plus 2 NZD/large suitcase; temporarily no service on Sundays. The restaurant and bar staff at MBCH were great; many were hospitality workers from Fiji. The snorkeling was enjoyable but not sure it is worth the extra travel effort.

Room tip: Take the island bus for airport transfers rather than relying on transfers with Cook Island Tours pre-arranged by the Muri Beach Club Hotel

Absolute bliss beautiful location ,we were spoilt rotten there by their fabulous staff ( our favorite being Michael) a free cocktail every afternoon with canapes. Loved swimming in the pool and dinning in the restaurant. Great menu with five star food . Will definitely be back.

Room tip: Any room is a good choice as all are steps to the beach
