The best part of the bungalow was the nearby beach which was one of the loveliest we visited in the area. The weather was quite kind to us in the few days we stayed.
The Rusty Nail pub deserves a mention for it's excellent food and is located near to the bungalow.
A recommendation would be to install a coat rack to hang up our wet coats - only a small thing.

“Perfect peaceful place!”

If you are looking for a beautiful peaceful location, with a garden gate opening onto a large peaceful sandy beach surrounded by green hills and sea, with a lovely sheltered garden full of fun for the kids, and a clean well equipped house then this is the only place for you!
I can't begin to tell you how perfect it was to arrive in warm sunshine and have direct access to the beach and be able to eat dinner on a private decking area overlooking the beach! The kids had the best time running from beach to garden and playing with the toys in the house too. We enjoyed the beauty, peace and cleanliness of the place. There is also plenty to do in the area to keep everyone entertained, including the fantastic rusty nail pub minutes away that serves top quality food with live Irish music.
The owners are on site, but they respect your privacy and are extremely welcoming and helpful. The kids have already made plans for our trip back here!

“Beachside get a away”

Our 3rd year of booking and still love the place. My wife and I have very hectic working lives and look forward to getting to the Beach house...it's our 'decompression'.
The location and house, again fantastic but the best features are the owners Lorraine and Terrence who yet again made our family holiday perfect...even down to supplying the fish for our BBQ straight from the bay.
Great place...highly recommend.

“I didn't believe the reviews but...”
Reviewed 19 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

On reading about the Beach House - all I could see was 5 star reviews. Which made me a little sceptical. But here I am writing my own 5 star review....

If you're looking for somewhere tranquil to enjoy some family time - I can't think of anywhere better than the Beach House at Tullagh Bay. We discovered Tullagh Bay almost by accident a few years ago. A magical beach which is pretty much deserted. On a sunny day its like something out of Caribbean Postcard. We always promised we come and spend more time here.

Then we booked the Beach House. A quaint little bungalow right beside the beach. The garden runs right back to the beach. Everything was perfectly clean and the house had every appliance you could imagine. We were greeted with fresh fruit and homemade buns. (Frozen themed which my daughter absolutely loved.). there was toys for kids, garden toys, football nets(for daddy. lol) and best of all... A little hut next to the beach with full electricity and decking should you want to spend all day at the beach. Oh, and my personal favourite was the outside shower room. I went for a run on the beach in the morning, had a quick dip in the sea and then a shower before coming in and wakening the girls for breakfast. Perfect!

If you read my other reviews, you'll see I have no issues with saying of a place is not up to scratch. The BeachHouse may not be everyone's idea of paradise - but surely was ours. If your "outdoorsy" and you want a family holiday with the kids - the Beach House is one of the best of Ireland.

Many thanks to Terrence and Lorraine for your hospitality and letting us stay at your lovely house.

“Excellent family holiday base.”
Reviewed 19 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We traveled from UK and Spain to meet up here and share a family holiday. The proximity to the beech couldn't be surpassed, with beautiful shallow beaches and wide expanses of golden sands. We BBQ in the beach hut, watching the waves crash into the shore. Perfect.
