This is the second tallest waterfall in India and formed due to river sharavathi. This waterfall is around 30kms from Sagar in karnataka state in dense forest area.In normal season also you can see lot of crowd to enjoy the roaring beauty of four streams called raja,Roarer, rani, rocket. We visited this fall in Aug and there are lakhs of people visited this fall even though it is raining continuously.

Wonderful place with decent view. Can get crowded though. Worth visiting with friends and family. We visited in July raining heavily but it added to beauty of the place.

Jog Falls is created by the Sharavathi River dropping 253 m (830 ft), making it the second-highest plunge waterfall in India after the Nohkalikai Falls with a drop of 335 m (1100 ft) in Meghalaya. Jog is one of most visited falls in south India and major tourist destination in Karnataka. From curvy roads, sharavati valley, dense jungle and pouring rain and everything was very fascinating. I still get goosebumps when I think about Jog falls.

Getting here is a task in itself. An isolated location with no settlement around. The falls is truly majestic. Multiple streams of water flowing from a significant height. To get the best view, be here during monsoon or post-monsoon.

One of the best waterfalls in entire South India. Best time to visit these water falls is rainy season to view it's beauty. I have missed that as I was visited in Dec month. You can get down in sagara by train and from there you will get bus to reach falls at low price. Visit with family or friends is best to enjoy.
