Get Lost!
V resorts!
Thats their tagline, and they literally mean it. Guests should get lost!

The manager, Mr Sharma will always try to bribe you with a discount of Rs 100 here and there when you raise an issue of poor service. He is such a character.

We were a group of 4 families staying for 3 nights each. So total 12 room nights. And that's some good amount of business.

The positives first:
1. The breath taking location of the property

The negatives now
1. Ill maintained rooms with huge spiders & pests all over
2. In the name of extra beds(provided at a huge cost) they gave us thin cotton quilts. How can one sleep on them?
3. The food was really bad on the first night and everytime. The bill was nearly Rs 5500 for 4 families. So u can imagine the rates. The menu is kept in the rooms, a two page photocopy put together in a strip file, dirty & half torn! Don't why it is there, when they do not provide room service?
4. When we chose to get our food from outside(relish restaurant, they serve awesome food really), the hotel staff stopped giving us the service. No cutlery provided, not even glasses. We are stubborn people & we got ourselves disposables too from the second time onwards. We were pretty adament that we will not spoil our holiday by fighting with the hotel staff. Everytime we arranged our own buffet in the hotel terrace on the benches and the staff kept looking at us like beaten fools
5. No Power Backup, so carry torches and big size mosquitoe killers, as encountering king size cockroaches and spiders is a daily feature
6. Everyday, there is a water crisis. The staff act when there is a hue and cry that the water tanks are empty. Why can't they fill them up every morning. The 2nd day we literally had to use mineral water bottles to make our kids bath as they had applied soap and the water supply finished
7. They just have a small fridge, which is usually kept in hotel rooms for the guests, so do not expect cold water or ice from them
8. Ask for some drinking water, either buy mineral water bottles from them at 2 times the MRP or they would serve you tap water in the bottles that other guests have left over. It can be a mineral water bottle, or a cold drink bottle
9. On the day of check out, they served stale food in breakfast, the bread had fungus and the potatoes were smelly. Before we could click photos of the bread, the disposed it off in a hurry. On complaining to Mr. Sharma, the supremo of the resort, he said, "Sir bread chodo, aapne omlette khaya, kya badhiya bana tha!"(Leave the bread, did you have the omlette). Man how on earth can a company like vResorts let this happen?
10. Whenever u seek help, there is no one. When u reach out to the senior most guy, Mr. Sharma he would say, I do not have staff! Why on earth, does the resort exist?
11. The staff nearly daily had a heated argument with different guests(not us, we had accepted our fate on the day 1 and got the supplies in advance from the market which is nearly 5kms from the resort)
12. You will not even be given drinking water after the restaurant is closed. You may die, but there is no staff around after 10:30 pm. We had to tip over Rs 1000 to get the basic services like getting the room cleaned, getting us drinking water in the room etc.
11. The hotel forced upon us an induction plate as we had an infant and were repeatedly asking for milk. Now how stupid is that? The very next morning we got ourselves tetra packs of milk and the induction plate helped us. We saved a lot of money as we did not have to buy a glass of milk for Rs 100 odd, every time.
12. The only TV in the resort is in the activity room, which only shows the Free to Air channels.
13. The activity room has a carrom board, a chess board and a card table. The only thing which the children can use is the carrom and it is damaged :(

These are just the major points.
The entire vigil could land up in a full length book.

Tips:
1. Do not book for the photos posted by the hotel. Its virtually a garbage dump in the area where they have shown the wooden bench and the hammock. They do not have the hammock actually. We kept asking for it for 4 days, sir the staff is not there, the hammock is dirty etc etc
2. DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS ONE IF YOU SEEK A VACATION. Go only if u want a good location and no service

Room tip: 106-8 offer the best view but don't have fans &are small 201-3(where we stayed)will offer a garden Good Rooms don't exist here

If you want to getaway from the bustling city and want to do absolutely nothing besides look at clouds and hills all day, then this is the place. Our group was completely happy amidst the beautiful scenery and since it was raining intermittently and so we got to see a range of sights. Reaching the place from Delhi took us a while as we mistakenly took the longer route via haridwar and rishikesh instead of the shorter one via kotdwar. The road from Shivpuri to Devprayag and then Devprayag Road where the resort is located was through high mountains with scary views of the valleys and rivers below. It was thrilling and we saw rocks fallen on the road at various places. The resort manager very kindly, continuously kept in touch with us and guided us along the way.The roads were also very twisty, full of hairpins and my friend even saw a large cat. There was a slight drizzle and it was humid. Our driver told us that usually no one drove in the night due to rocks falling and some wild animals and surely enough we hardly crossed any other vehicles. We reached around 10 to find pleasant rooms that were reasonably neat and clean, and the moment we hit the bed we were off to dreamland. There were no ceiling fans in the room but they did provide a table fan which was enough for our needs. We had ordered a simple veg dinner which we ate at the dining hall. For non veg one had to place prior order as they get the chicken/mutton from the market in Pauri which is 4kms further. The service was decent and the staff was courteous and friendly. We visited the Pauri market the next day to have lunch and had to settle for some cheap and spicy food which didnt agree with most of our tummies. The resort turned out to be the best place to eat, however it was quite expensive. We returned to the resort to simply hang out and enjoy the view which we couldn't get enough of. There's not much to do besides taking walks around the property. While returning we took the Satpuli-Kotdwar-Meerut route which was shorter and much nicer. We passed by Landsdowne and reached Delhi late night. For those who want to visit kindly find yourselves a competent driver and be prepared for a long drive. Food along the way is expensive and there were not many options.Keep an eye out for the weather as well. The resort is small but clean and cozy. They have very few rooms with rooms 101 and 102 with the best views although till 107 its not too bad. We wished we had more time and were sorry to leave so soon.

Lets start with the fact that I found this place by accident. This place had a different place earlier and now it is V-Resort, so u may kind people may Moksh Resort. It is just 3 km away from the main Pauri market. I must first say that very thoughtfully made with an excellent location. The view is just breath taking, for which you will have to sit outside your room.

Apart from the pros, their are a few cons as well-
1) No T.V (I didn't feel the need for it, but people may)
2) No intercom (How can you expect a person to do up and down to get something, on their vacation)
3) 100 % advance of the tariff (Never done that in any of the hotels I have stayed in, this was not told to us during check in, it came as surprise on the nxt day)
4) No room service (You can charge extra for it, but not having it at all is just weird)
5) Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner whatever u want to eat, you will have to inform them 2 hours prior (2 hours is a little to much, for someone who is hungry, and it has gone to 3 hours as well in my case)
6) Online booking people are given preference (How can you differentiate between your guests, thats insulting)
7) No fan (It gets warm in the afternoons, you have table fan but at times they make a lot of noise)
8) Rs 1000/- for extra bedding (I have never seen this in any of the hotels I have been to, may be in the 5 start ones)

Although the men serving us were good and did best to their abilities, I think the management needs to look into the changes they have brought. The hotel had fans and TV's prior and have been removed now. The hotel does not have ample of staff to take care of people. I understand that this is not a very famous tourist destination. But it does not allow you to exploit people or over change them at times. The only thing keeping your Hotel up and running is the staff and the location. I would not recommend it to anyone. Sorry

The resort is at an extreme end of Pauri and the by-lane for the resort entrance is too narrow for any tempo traveler to enter. XUV or SUV category of cars will be good to drive as the road a also slightly bumpy. There are about 15 odd cars parking space towards the edge of the hill top near the resort. The view from the terrace and balcony is amazing with Swing chair on the garden area. Rooms are not too spacious, considering it’s a weekend gate-away, space should not be of too much focus. Spending the evening at the garden is indeed a blissful feeling with soothing breeze which turns chilli during evening.
The hospitality of the staff (special mention to Mahavir and Saurabh) and manager (Narutam) is definitely going to make you feel at home. They will be 'available at your service' with warmth and smile. The simplicity they have is worth a good tip indeed.
Overall, if you are looking for a peaceful weekend escape from the concrete world of smokes and dust; this is an very nice place.

Needed a Break from the scorching heat of Gurgaon in May and June(42+ Degrees), so chose to drive with the family. We took a break at Rishikesh: GGN-Rishikesh is 270 Kms, but to due to heavy traffic in June it takes around 7-8 hours). Rishikesh to Pauri is hardly 120 Kms, but again due to Hill roads and heavy traffic, it may take 4-5 hours. I would strongly advise to reach the place during the day time if you are not used to the Mountain driving. The Resort is situated 3 kms before the main Pauri area. We started at 11.30 AM from Rishikesh and reached the place around 4 PM and were absolutely starving, we had ordered Lunch through Phone and the resort staff had prepared food for us.
Location: 5/5 . Fell in love with the place immediately: though the resort is 10 years old, its absolutely clean and well maintained.
Food: We took Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast at the resort. mostly vegetarian items, the food quality is very good. Someone suggested to try Mutton in the dinner and the Mutton Curry was absolutely out of the world. The Resort staff ask the guests in advance about the food they want and accordingly get the stuff from the nearby market. Also, it can be noted that there is no breakfast buffet available, you have to order the items you want for breakfast in the previous day during dinner.
Staff: Absolutely friendly and eager staff. My son wanted to play a little more in the children play area, so one of the staff carried the items and placed it in front of our room.
Facilities: Though the temperature levels at Pauri never increase beyond 25-26 degrees, the lack of ceiling fans make the room stuffy especially in the noon time and even in the nights. They had supplied a small table fan, but I felt the need of a ceiling fan. Also, there should be intercom facility provided in the rooms. There is no wi-fi at the Lobby also, but I did not feel the need of wi-fi in such a serene place.
View: We had taken the snow view rooms which were supposed to provide an awesome view of the Himalayas, but due to heavy fog we could not see anything. Even we woke up at 5 AM in the morning hoping to catch a view of the peaks but could not see anything.

Overall, I would rate this place as a value for money place, people looking for a luxury resort can give it a miss.

Room tip: Snow View rooms are supposed to provide a good view of the peaks, but we could not see anything because of heavy fog.
