Hotel is run by a small staff but each of them is super professional and efficient in what they do. Special requests for kid food were entertained with the best they could do for us. The view from room and restaurant of the lake and the cozy little village is a treat to eyes. Just wish that the rooms could be a little bigger
We had a great stay at hotel Kreuz, which is a short walk from the Leissing Train Station (several buses come to Leissing via Thun or Interlaken). The hotel was clean if a bit older but the staff was very helpful and friendly and breakfast was great.
There is a restaurant in the hotel for dinner, which was nice, but it is really the only dinner choice in Leissing. We ended up having dinner one evening in Thun and one evening in Interlaken, where there are more choices. It was a short - maybe 10 minute bus ride from Interlaken and maybe 20 minutes from Thun. We had Swiss Rail Pass so the fare wasn't an issue. Though in the evening there is only one bus an hour so you need to keep an eye on your watch to catch it else you will be an hour delayed.
If you are looking to experience the bernese oberland region and dont like to stay in overcrowded interlaken then this is a very good option. The hotel is right across the railway station and view of lake Thun is just amazing. Ask for a lake facing room and you will just be amazed.
The staff was friendly and courteous. The view of the lake very lovely. It was no more than a $50 a night room. Right on the highway in the train tracks. The room beyond small old dirty no AC one plug you get a choice THE FAN. THE TV. OR THE COFFEE MAKER I MEAN WATER WARMER. We paid $200 which is insane but we prepaid and had no choice. I would not recommend this place to anyone EVER. THEN THEY CHARGE YOU FOR PARKING ACROSS THE STREET. REALLY?????compared to all else we are experiencing in Switzerland,Germany,Norway .Sweden etc I'm most disappointed in this rip off
Stayed at the Hotel Kreuz on my trip to Switzerland with Shearings coach tours and the driver Chris was amazing - The staff at the hotel were friendly and the food was good - I also had a fantastic room view looking over the Lake - What more could I ask for thanks to the staff at the Hotel Kreuz and a big thank you to Chris our driver.
