Little Roost is perfect; easy to find, welcoming service, very comfortable, tidy, charmingly decorated - with relaxing and beautiful local walking routes nearby recommended by Rosemary. Thank you so much - we loved our stay in your lovely cottage!

“just perfect”
Reviewed 20 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

My husband and I stayed at Little Roost for just 3 nights and we so wished it had been for longer! The property is just lovely; clean, tidy, cosy and comfortable with everything you need. Located down a quiet country lane with a wonderful walk across footpaths and fields down into the town. We did the walk 5 times! The welcome bits which Rosemary personalises is a really lovely touch. We will definitely book again.

Hi Zoe - so glad you enjoyed your stay. I really love that riverside walk leading to Lyme Regis and the sea. It's a fab way to see the local countryside, leaving your car behind. Hope to see you again sometime. best wishes, Rosemary H - owner, Little Roost at Uplyme

“Quiet, relaxing and comfortable”
Reviewed 18 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The Little Roost is lovely; it's set on two floors; kitchen, lounge and dining downstairs and bedroom and toilet / shower-room upstairs, via a lovely wooden spiral staircase. It's very comfortable and well equipped and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Rosemary came to find us to say hello later, as she wasn't around when we arrived, which was very friendly. There's also a lovely patio area up the steps around the side, sadly we didn't have the weather to take advantage of it. The car port's great; somewhere to tuck the car away off the road. Even though the main road is not far up the hill you really feel like your in the middle of nowhere, quiet and secluded, and the walk along the river into Lyme Regis is very pleasant.
All in all a lovely week spent at the Little Roost.

“Fantastic country getaway”
Reviewed 15 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Our stay at little roost in late August this year was absolutely fantastic. The cottage was perfect for 2 people, and was exactly what we'd been looking for in a country holiday.

It was very well looked after, very clean and with very comfortable furniture and great modern facilities. It also maintained the countryside feel, which was something we really wanted. Rosemary was waiting as we arrived to welcome us, which was a very nice touch, as was the fresh local bread, eggs and milk left for us.

The local area was also extremely nice, Uplyme is a very pleasant little village with welcoming locals. I highly recommend the Talbot Arms, very good pub (And the local beer was outstanding) which was only a couple of minutes walk through a nice country lane away.
With only a 30 second drive, or a nice 10/15 minute walk, to Lyme Regis as well, there was just the right amount of stuff nearby to do while making sure the week was as relaxing as we'd desired. All the local food was brilliant; the difference it makes eating just locally sourced food is unbelievable. I'll miss this a lot living near a major city.

Overall, this was a perfect holiday, would highly recommend this cottage.

Great that you enjoyed your stay at Little Root and made the most of the local countryside. Yes, there's a plentiful choice of high quality fresh food in local restaurants, pubs, farm shops and takeaways, both on the coast and inland. Any time you have a yearning to return you know where we are... With best wishes, R
