“Cosy spot with all the mod-cons.”
Reviewed 21 August 2017 for a stay in March 2017

In our short trip to the land of the Cathar this was our favourite place to stay. We loved the beautifully renovated cottage. It is warm and cosy with all the facilities a family would need to rest after a day exploring the countryside. It is within striking distance of Carcassonne, and the many castles and galleries of the region. You will need a vehicle to drive to one of the great local restaurants in the evening!

“Peaceful get-away in a quiet traditional French village”
Reviewed 8 April 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Beautiful village house right next to the church and chateau on a very quiet road (ie no traffic at all). Lots of atmosphere, but modern conveniences too. Ideally located for the Limoux Fecos, Cathar Castles, Esperaza Sunday market, country trecks, and Templar Quest Tours which is just around the corner.

“A glorious trip back in time”
Reviewed 5 January 2016 for a stay in June 2014

The luxurious Maison de l'eglise is an unusual and beautiful place to stay. Off the beaten track and back in time, among the stunning foothills of the Pyrenees there was something for everyone in the family. Glorious scenery and walks, historical tours and amazing food, markets and swimming ... a taste of the real France that touched our hearts. A chance to explore, far from anything 'touristy,' Sophie was an attentive and generous host. Such a wonderful experience full of happy memories.

“Nest in the Pyrenees foothills.”
Reviewed 6 November 2015 for a stay in June 2015

What a great little townhouse to use as a base for exploring the mysterious Cathar Country. The charming, well-restored house has a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen, stylish bathrooms and upstairs lounge that can act as a third bedroom. Splendid views from the upstairs bedroom skylight. Gregarious, knowledgeable hosts in the chateau next door will help you find the marvels of this magical region.
