The breakfast was very satisfactory and parking car facilities too. The hotel is closed to Trapani but it requires a car to visit the city center and to go to restaurants. It was not a problem for us but customers must be aware of that.

Room Tip: Our room was 113. It was probably remodeled some time ago and it has a good view to the sea.

Too old shower. It is sometimes hot sometimes cold but never warm. Water pressure is not good. Room is ok but bath room should be more modern. Lift looks very old, it was scearly to use it. Very nice ladies on reception, always ready to support.

We have had the most fantastic 10 days staying at hotel Tirreno this summer. I found some of the comments in trip advisor a bit negative, and although I agree with a few - the positives FAR out way the negatives.

The hotel was taken over by new owners last year and one side of it has been closed while they are refurbishing and you can clearly see that they are trying to make improvements to that side of the building although it didn’t affect us.

Everything is very clean and tidy. The rooms are lovely with large bathrooms and walk in showers big enough for the whole family, plus the air conditioning is excellent.

You do need a car to get around as it is 5 minutes out of Trapani. But to be honest, Trapani is so busy, it’s ablesssing to be away from it. There are several very nice pizzerias close by so you can eat out very easily if you don’t want to eat at the hotel.

The evenings are beautiful and when the hotel lays the tables for dinner with all the lights round the pool and harbour, it looks stunning.

The pool area is very clean. You have to pay 2 euros for a hat and climb some steps to get into it as it is raised above the floor but it is highly maintained and my 6 year old has enjoyed it immensely.

The breakfast is plentiful and a massive amount of choice (especially for people with fussy children!). The lunch menu is also very nice and welll priced. The only thing we would have changed was the fact that the evening restaurant menu didn’t change very much and there wasn’t very much for children or vegetarians. Although they were very accommodating.

What makes this hotel though is definitely the staff. From the lifeguard who spent 10 days moving our umbrella back and forth to ensure my son was covered from the sun, to the breakfast staff who ensured we had everything we needed, to the cleaners who entertained my child by moving his teddies on the bed, to the fabulous receptionists who could not do enough to help you and make your stay the best it could be.
I’d definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

We visited Sicily for the last week of July. We are a couple in our twenties and found the hotel adequate. Breakfast is fantastic and served from 7:30-10am (although only hot food is scrambled eggs) but all the usuals on offer pastries & fruits etc.
You will definitely need to hire a car to get around is there is no nearby shops or villages. The closest one we found was a 10 minute drive in the car along the beach. The beach was lovely and had lots of beach bars on.
We booked through ‘on the beach’ although the hotel is situated along the coast there is no beach just large rocks onto a deep section of the sea.
Hotel itself was a little random, corridors had been made into staff rooms and random rooms filled with random things...
We were kept up most nights until 1am with loud music, fireworks and belly dancing competitions downstairs as I think they hold large functions.
We were also disappointed by the pool as it is almost a large blow up temporary pool (nothing like the lovely picture) which you also have to wear a swimming hat- male or female which costs €2 each.
Lots of sun beds on offer and no early morning rush to get them!
The hotel room itself is very good. Tv, air con, kettle, hairdryer and mini bar (fairly priced) and also a free to use safe which is excellent!
Our room overlooked a junk yard section of the hotel which didn’t bother us too much but not lovely to look at!
Things to visit: Trapani cable cars, The nearby beach, Erice, Palermo city centre and also a boat excursion which you can organise with reception!
Overall an ok hotel if you don’t mind staying up too late and renting a car to travel round!

Amazing Location by the sea, Friendly staff, great fresh local food for breakfast (also served on a terrace with sea view!). The restaurant offers delicious local cousine and wine. The room was large and clean, with all we needed, the balcony on the sea was a treat. The hotel has a private harbour so you can swim in the sea or in the swimming pool, if you like, and among other facilities there is a sun terrace and a cafe' bar. It's just a couple of Kms from Trapani town centre, but we had a car and the hotel provide free parking, so it was perfect for us. We will go back for a longer stay. We loved it.

Room Tip: Double Sea view
