This is the second time we have stayed at Hazel Cottage. It's so pretty, peaceful and in a fabulous part of the world.Cumbria and Yorkshire Dale's...can't get much better than that. We love to prep our own food and sit by the log burner. Or a short walk into Dent for some real ales or even a drive to The Lakes District ...only 35 mins away.
The bathroom is fab too..roll top bath with a glass of wine! It always clean and immaculate.
The Yorkshire Dale's are right outside your door here...stunning.
Look forward to another stay.
A really nice cosey cottage with a lovely log fire and a modern bathroom. Location was amazing if not a bit difficult to find (follow the instructions they give you rather than your satnav). No signal in the cottage but if you want a break from technology it's perfect! Would definitely stay there again!
We stayed at Hazel cottage in April 2016
What a real find, the cottage is beautiful everything you need for a relaxing get away from it all. The location is perfect just a short stroll to the village of Dent. Cosy log burner for the evening.
A big thanks to Matthew & Ella for a fabulous welcome.
We will be returning again soon
I would recommend Hazel cottage and the area.

Quite disappointed with this property. The kitchen/ lounge area look onto Bridge cottages patio we had to keep the blinds shut as a family group were staying - awkward for us and them ! The outside area is not as per the pictures on the site ! You really would not be sitting on the patio on a summers evening ! I thought about adding my review for sometime but I honestly feel the accuracy of the pictures of the patio area are very very misleading its nothing like the pictures on the advertisement. I would in fact describe it as resembling a junk yard !! Very very misleading pictures - I hope the owners reflect on this review ! Bathroom is excellent.

We had a lovely, relaxing break at Hazel Cottage. The cottage is cosy and was just right for the two of us. It is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful area and we did a couple of stunning walks in the Dales. Whernside (Yorkshire's tallest peak) is very close by. The walk to the two local pubs in Dent only takes about 10 mins and can be done on the quiet road or via a picturesque path along the river Dee.
