Stayed at this hotel and ate food on the Saturday evening and breakfast on the Sunday morning.
Evening meal was lovely, service was good and staff really friendly.
Was recommended to book a table when we arrived as weekends can get busy!!
We had breakfast the following morning which was included with our room.
There was a large selection of cereals, fruits, yogurts and homemade muesli. You also had an option to have a cooked breakfast too. Again the staff where lovely and friendly.
Couldn’t fault the food it was lovely!!
Would most defiantly return again.

Modern decoration, good variety of beers and wines. Good menu at standard pub prices served by friendly and efficient staff. Certainly recommended.

We were warned that there would be a slight delay (about 40 minutes) after ordering. No problem. Our table was pointed out to us (we were not shown to it) but 20 minutes after we had sat down, having tried several times to attract the attention of a member of waiting staff to order our meals, we still hadn't ordered and were being totally ignored. We walked out in disgust.

Visited at lunchtime. Warmly greeted by bar staff and two lovely open fires created a cosy atmosphere on a cold day. Chose the seafood pancake and pork loin with black pudding. Both were delicious and portions were good. Apple and blackberry pie was home made, served with generous jug of custard - delicious! Restaurant quality, we will be back!

Sunday lunch with two friends who had eaten here on previous occasions. Service was friendly and efficient. The Black Sheep bitter was spot on. We all had three courses and every dish was beautifully cooked and presented. Helpings were generous, especially the accompanying veg dishes. We had Yorkshire puddings, devilled whitebait, and prawn cocktail for starters. Seared salmon, chicken with feta and spinach filling and pork steak with black pudding for mains. Treacle sponge, ginger sponge and bread and butter pudding to finish a superb meal. £66 for the three of us. No wonder the place was full.
