“A haven of peace and tranquility!”
Reviewed 15 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Upper House Cottage is set in a charming location and has lovely views of rural Wiltshire. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a well designed kitchen. It was a very pleasant surprise to find such a comfortable bed, and the hosts have considered their guests in so many small ways - such as bedside torches. It was a delight to also find an extensive collection of books on a wide range of topics.

On arrival at the cottage, it was lovely to find some basic supplies such as a bottle of wine, bread, milk and eggs awaiting us. Will is a wonderful host, attentive but not intrusive, and he was always happy to provide us with local information about sightseeing, theatre options, local walks and driving instructions for travelling to and parking in Bath.

We enjoyed ourselves so much in such a relaxing home away from home, that we almost forgot to leave, until we realised that 5 days had already flown by.

We would be more than happy to return to Upper House Cottage on our next visit to the UK.

THANK YOU !
Judy & Neil from Brisbane could not have been more appreciative of the trouble we take to make our cottage a home from home! We very much hope you will come again.

We had a lovely stay in this comfortable accommodation, had everything we needed, Williams was a lovely host, only down side was not much space for food in kitchen and a lot of spiders in all the corners but that's what you get in the countryside, but over all 5 stars, we had rain most days but still visited Stonehenge ,Avebury and Longleat Safari Park ,would recommend this accommodation ,thank you William

“Lovely, well situated cottage in rural Wiltshire; an ideal base for day trips around Wiltshire and beyond.”
Reviewed 26 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

My family and I enjoyed our 5 night stay at Upper House Cottage. Located off a quiet, single track road in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, it is an ideal base for many tourist attractions (Stonehenge, Avebury, Castle Combe etc). The owner Will was very friendly yet discrete but available if we needed him. A highlight for me, being a keen weather watcher and amateur photographer, was watching and photographing a passing thunder storm one night from the upper deck which over looks open fields. The cottage was clean with all the facilities for a comfortable stay.

Thank you so much. We really appreciate reviews, as that is what people read before they book. I am glad the riding nearby was a success.
