“Lovely cottage, friendly owners”
Reviewed 28 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

We booked over Christmas week and were a little late arriving. Will had put a bottle of champagne in the fridge and taken our shopping order in from Sainsburys......
Will and Letty were very friendly and helpful and the cottage was beautifully prepared with a small tree. The cottage was in a very quiet location and ideally placed to visit Bath, Bristol and the South Cotswolds etc. Plenty of walks from the front door. We had a lovely week and would definitely recommend the cottage to others.

It was great to have a young family in our cottage over Christmas, and that they were so appreciative of our efforts to make their stay enjoyable & comfortable. I hope you will come again, perhaps in the summertime to take advantage of what's on offer in the locality at that time of year.

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed 28 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We stayed at Upper House Cottage for a long weekend recently with our 1 year old son, it's a beautifully laid out holiday home with lots of attention to detail. We found it to be quiet and cosy with a well laid out kitchen and living space upstairs and two warm and comforting bedrooms downstairs. The views are stunning and Will (the owner) was very welcoming and very helpfully supplied a stair gate, high chair and cot for our son. It's very close to Bath, yet you wouldn't know it and ideally situated for many local attractions. I really can't recommend this place enough, it's just lovely. Also a nice touch to be given bread, milk marmalade etc on arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

“Beautiful cottage with a warm welcome.”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We booked for a long bank holiday weekend with our young daughter ( 2 year birthday whilst there!). Communication with the owner, Will, was good before we arrived and we got a friendly welcome when we got there. The cottage has been very tastefully done and is home from home. There are lots of extras that you normally don't always see and the welcome food and drink was a nice touch. Location is great, very peaceful but only 15 mins drive to Bath centre. Lots of places to eat nearby and Will is very happy to recommend.
We had a lovely break and loved the cottage. Our daughter had a great time and liked staying there. Nice garden to run about in and balcony/ decked area perfectly safe.
Would highly recommend and would like to return next time we feel like a break in Bath!
Thanks Will.

“A little gem nestled in the countryside”
Reviewed 14 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This property has been prepared with loving care and genuine concern for the comfort of guests. Lots of little extra touches give it a luxury feel and the upside down arrangement gives it a little quirkiness which serves to provide beautiful views from the upper level. Will welcomed us on arrival and was very helpful regarding places to go and routes. The only downside was finding the property so checking on directions would have been a good idea - but it was worth the journey!

“Excellent , plenty to see and do and a peaceful retreat to come home to.”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We spent an enjoyable 3 night break at Upper House Cottage, and wish we could have stayed longer. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and a wonderful peaceful home to return to at the end of the day.
The cottage has everything needed for a well earned break and is both comfortable and stylish.
Our hosts Will and Lettie were fabulous and recommended places to visit and eat out in the area,( would recommend the pub at Ford and a visit to nearby Bath.)
We will definitely be returning to Upper House Cottage next year!
