A really lovely place to stay and very conveniently located.

“Beautiful Farmhouse”

Thanks are due to Alice and Leo for their organisation of transfers, car hire and house preparation.

We were met at Malta Airport by Juan, our driver, followed closely by Leo (owner) with keys and car rental forms. Forms filled out, keys handed over and we were on our way to ferry port.

Juan the driver chatted all the way there, recommending sites to visit, things to see. Over on ferry to Gozo and just a quick trip up the hill out of harbour to the Farmhouse in Ghanjsilem.

Now the farmhouse is not like an English idea of one, it is a house on a terrace street that once had a large, now gone, market garden attached to it. So don't expect a house surrounded by fields.

Entering the farmhouse through a gate, you walk down a short corridor, to the front door, through which you enter the main living room. It's a lovely large room, stone features, very welcoming, two settees and two chairs. There's a TV on the wall with cable channels, BBC worldwide is there plus the usual selection of English language programs. There's also WiFi, key in house folder.

There's French (Maltese?) doors onto the pool area, with a table and chairs and sun loungers, and an arch into the large kitchen with an enormous table and bench seats. Two gigantic fridge freezers and a range cooker. All the kitchen gadgets are there and enough crockery and cutlery for an army!

The bedrooms are all excellent, most en-suite, four poster upstairs with mosquito nets.
Access to upstairs is via spiral staircases, you can get the the first floor by normal stone stairs, but they are open to the elements ( luckily it doesn't rain much in Malta)

The farmhouse is beautiful, very handy for amenities, there's a little supermarket five minutes walk away ( there's a Lidl on the road to Rabat for bigger shops). The village has two clubs next to the church, agility only five minutes walk. One is similar to a social club, but don't let that put you off, the food is good, the beer cheap and the locals welcoming.

“Very Highly Recommended”

Firstly, to say thank you to Alice and Leo for all their help arranging transfers and car hire. The whole experience from inital enquiry to saying bye (or rather, see you again) to Leo at the airport was first rate.
Having had a few disappointments with holiday villa bookings over the years, I am always a little sceptical before arrvial but the description and pictures of the farmhouse are 100% reliable and trustworthy - it is exactly as described and photographed, although, the pool is actually larger than it looks in the photographs!
Wonderfully located in a very friendly residential street in the centre of Ghajnsielem, very close to the church and about a 10 minute walk to Mgarr harbour, where there are many restaurants, and, of course, which is the departure/arrival point for the Gozo - Malta ferry. There is a supermarket within two minutes walk, two fresh fish shops and a bar and pizza/burger restaurnant in the village itself without even having to walk to the harbour - the village though is lovely and quiet even in August! Although we hired a car, it would be easy to stay here without having to.
The layout is great, with the bedrooms accessible without actually having to enter the house itself, providing lots of privacy even when travelling as a group - there is a lockable front gate so security is never an issue, each bedroom door also has a lock. The bedrooms are also accessible via internal stairs. I note that the stairs have been mentioned several times in reviews; given the structure of the house, they are spiral and whilst those to the top floor are longer than those to the frst floor, both staircases are easilty navigated. The house is lovingly furnished, much more like a family home than a holiday farmhouse, indeed, it used to be Leo and Alice's home, and it is obvious. It is also very clean and well cared for.
Very highly recommended. We shall definitely return!

“Fabulous house for a large group”

We were 8 adults and one small child celebrating a family birthday and chose Ta'Vitor for a number of reasons. Firstly, it has excellent facilities for a large group - good sized bedrooms, four of which have superb en-suite bathrooms and good quality towels, plus plenty of living accommodation, including a well appointed kitchen, good TV and free WiFi. Secondly, it is in an ideal location; only a few minutes walk from the port of Mgarr with all it's fabulous restaurants & bars, yet placed in a quiet area of Ghajnsielem, which has an excellent supermarket that means you don't have to travel to Victoria for supplies, plus several restaurants and bars that represent brilliant value for a quick meal or Cisk! Finally, the pool and terrace are high quality, with gas barbeque and sun-loungers to relax in the hot afternoon sun. Mention has been made previously of the internal spiral staircases. Whilst these could be daunting for some, with a party of 8 covering various age-ranges, there was no difficulty selecting rooms and the top-floor bedroom was actually hotly contested.
We all had a fabulous time. Alice Cuschieri, the owner was extremely helpful in booking cars and taxis for us and kept in contact throughout our stay to make sure everything was running smoothly.i

Thank you very much for your nice review. It was a pleasure hosting you! We did our best to furnish and finish Ta Vitor to high standards, to make our clients feel comfortable and welcome in it. Should you be visiting Gozo again, it would be a pleasure hosting you again.

“Great home base to explore Gozo”

We rented the house for a week with a group of friends and children. Place is great, there is a lot of room and nice kitchen. The village is peaceful and has all the needed services. The harbor village Mgarr is on walking distance and has more great restaurants. It's very easy to walk, drive or take bus any destination on Gozo from here. The island of Malta is also easily accessible with the ferry.

Both kids and adults loved the private pool. Only problems are the inside stairs, they are very narrow and steep. And only way to the third floor. So the last bedroom is not that accessible, and most need the usage of out door stairs. The outdoor stairs are great at least on the summer though.
