When we visited the museum it was in the final stages of renovation but even then it was a very good visit. The renovation is very sympathetic to what I’d imagine the building looked like in the past, it really helped to show the exhibits off to their best. The exhibits themselves focussed on the history of the area, including the Roman period when there was a strong presence in the area. The museum isn’t very large, but it does mean that you can have a good look at most things in a couple of hours. There is street parking in the immediate area. Well worth a visit if you’d like to learn more about the Murcia area.
