Good location in the volcanic national park area.
Very comfortable and clean room followed by an excellent and generous breakfast.
The family run a restaurant nearby which was good....great views with a sun terrace in a peaceful location.

Room tip: Ask for a suite with castle view

We stayed 3 nights at the Landhotel and it was very very good. The suite was very clean, huge and well-resourced with nespresso machine, bathutilities and so on. The view is just amazing with the old castle on the hill. They also have a very tasty breakfast and a great spa area. You also should go for dinner to the Maarheide Restaurant which is just a few minutes away. The people there are all very friendly and welcome. The location is quite and rural but perfect for forest walks and to relax. The manager cares a lot about her guests and is very friendly.

Deciding to stay in a very quiet, rural location, we were suprised to find such high quality accommodation as Landhotel Maarheide. Recently renovated to a high standard our room was more than delightful but only just large enought for an overnight stay. To be fair there were other larger rooms suitable for longer stays if required. The immediate locality is worth exploring regarding its geological history and there is a golf house restaurant neaby. A generous breakfast was provided by very friendly staff. A few minutes drive through two small villages saw us resuming our journey well rested. Would use this hotel again if in the locality.
